1.
לַמְנַצֵּחַ, עַל-יוֹנַת אֵלֶם רְחֹקִים-- לְדָוִד מִכְתָּם:בֶּאֱחֹז אוֹתוֹ פְלִשְׁתִּים בְּגַת.
lamnatzeach, al-yonat elem rechokim-- ledavid miktam: be'echoz oto pelishtim begat.
For the Leader; upon Jonath-elem-rehokim. [A Psalm] of David; Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath.
2.
חָנֵּנִי אֱלֹהִים, כִּי-שְׁאָפַנִי אֱנוֹשׁ; כָּל-הַיּוֹם, לֹחֵם יִלְחָצֵנִי.
chaneni Elohim, ki-she'afani enosh; kol-hayom, lochem yilchatzeni.
Be gracious unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; all the day he fighting oppresseth me.
3.
שָׁאֲפוּ שׁוֹרְרַי, כָּל-הַיּוֹם: כִּי-רַבִּים לֹחֲמִים לִי מָרוֹם.
sha'afu shoreray, kol-hayom: ki-rabim lochamim li marom.
They that lie in wait for me would swallow me up all the day; for they are many that fight against me, O Most High,

יוֹם אִירָא-- אֲנִי, אֵלֶיךָ אֶבְטָח.
yom ira-- ani, eleicha evtach.
In the day that I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.
5.
בֵּאלֹהִים, אֲהַלֵּל דְּבָרוֹ:בֵּאלֹהִים בָּטַחְתִּי, לֹא אִירָא; מַה-יַּעֲשֶׂה בָשָׂר לִי.
be'Elohim, ahalel devaro: be'Elohim batachti, lo ira; mah-ya'aseh basar li.
In God--I will praise His word-- in God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can flesh do unto me?
6.
כָּל-הַיּוֹם, דְּבָרַי יְעַצֵּבוּ; עָלַי כָּל-מַחְשְׁבֹתָם לָרָע.
kol-hayom, devaray ye'atzevu; 'alay kol-machshevotam lara.
All the day they trouble mine affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
7.
יָגוּרוּ, יצפינו יִצְפּוֹנוּ--הֵמָּה, עֲקֵבַי יִשְׁמֹרוּ: כַּאֲשֶׁר, קִוּוּ נַפְשִׁי.
yaguru, yitzponu--hemmah, 'akevay yishmoru: ka'asher, kivvu nafshi.
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps; according as they have waited for my soul.
8.
עַל-אָוֶן פַּלֶּט-לָמוֹ; בְּאַף, עַמִּים הוֹרֵד אֱלֹהִים.
al-aven pallet-lamo; be'af, amim hored Elohim.
Because of iniquity cast them out; in anger bring down the peoples, O God.
9.
נֹדִי, סָפַרְתָּה-אָתָּה: שִׂימָה דִמְעָתִי בְנֹאדֶךָ; הֲלֹא, בְּסִפְרָתֶךָ.
nodi, safartah-atah; simah dim'ati venodekha; halo, besifratekha.
Thou has counted my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?
10.
אָז יָשׁוּבוּ אוֹיְבַי אָחוֹר, בְּיוֹם אֶקְרָא; זֶה-יָדַעְתִּי, כִּי-אֱלֹהִים לִי.
az yashuvu oyevay akhor, beyom ekra; ze-yada'ti, ki-Elohim li.
Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call; this I know, that God is for me.
11.
בֵּאלֹהִים, אֲהַלֵּל דָּבָר; בַּיהוָה, אֲהַלֵּל דָּבָר.
be'Elohim, ahallel davar; baAdonai, ahallel davar.
In God--I will praise His word--in the LORD--I will praise His word--
12.
בֵּאלֹהִים בָּטַחְתִּי, לֹא אִירָא; מַה-יַּעֲשֶׂה אָדָם לִי.
be'Elohim batakhti, lo ira; mah-ya'aseh adam li.
In God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can man do unto me?
13.
עָלַי אֱלֹהִים נְדָרֶיךָ; אֲשַׁלֵּם תּוֹדֹת לָךְ.
Alay Elohim nedareykha; ashallem todot lakh.
Thy vows are upon me, O God; I will render thank-offerings unto Thee.
14.
כִּי הִצַּלְתָּ נַפְשִׁי, מִמָּוֶת-- הֲלֹא רַגְלַי, מִדֶּחִי:לְהִתְהַלֵּךְ, לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים-- בְּאוֹר, הַחַיִּים.
Ki hitzalta nafshi, mimmavet-- halo raglay, middechi: lehit-hallekh, lifnei Elohim-- be'or, hachayyim.
For Thou hast delivered my soul from death; hast Thou not delivered my feet from stumbling? that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
