קַוֺּה קִוִּיתִי יְהוָה; וַיֵּט אֵלַי, וַיִּשְׁמַע שַׁוְעָתִי.
kavoh kiviti YHWH; vayet elay, vayishma shavati.
I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
3.
וַיַּעֲלֵנִי, מִבּוֹר שָׁאוֹן-- מִטִּיט הַיָּוֵן:וַיָּקֶם עַל-סֶלַע רַגְלַי; כּוֹנֵן אֲשֻׁרָי.
vaya'aleni, mibor sha'on-- mitit hayayen: vayakem al-sela raglay; konen ashuray.
He brought me up also out of the tumultuous pit, out of the miry clay; and He set my feet upon a rock, He established my goings.
4.
וַיִּתֵּן בְּפִי, שִׁיר חָדָשׁ-- תְּהִלָּה לֵאלֹהֵינוּ:יִרְאוּ רַבִּים וְיִירָאוּ; וְיִבְטְחוּ, בַּיהוָה.
vayiten befiy, shir chadash-- tehillah leloheynu:yir'u rabbim veyir'u; veyivtechu, baYHWH.
And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
5.
אַשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר-- אֲשֶׁר-שָׂם יְהוָה, מִבְטַחוֹ;וְלֹא-פָנָה אֶל-רְהָבִים, וְשָׂטֵי כָזָב.
ashrey hagever-- asher-sam YHWH, mivtachow;velo-panah el-rehavim, vesatey khazav.
Happy is the man that hath made the LORD his trust, and hath not turned unto the arrogant, nor unto such as fall away treacherously.

רַבּוֹת עָשִׂיתָ, אַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי--נִפְלְאֹתֶיךָ וּמַחְשְׁבֹתֶיךָ, אֵלֵינוּ:אֵין, עֲרֹךְ אֵלֶיךָ--אַגִּידָה וַאֲדַבֵּרָה; עָצְמוּ, מִסַּפֵּר.
rabbot asita, attah YHWH elohay--nifle'otekha umachshevotykha, eleynu:ein, arokh eleykha--aggidah va'adaberah; atzmu, missaper.
Many things hast Thou done, O LORD my God, even Thy wonderful works, and Thy thoughts toward us; there is none to be compared unto Thee! If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be told.

זֶבַח וּמִנְחָה, לֹא-חָפַצְתָּ-- אָזְנַיִם, כָּרִיתָ לִּי;עוֹלָה וַחֲטָאָה, לֹא שָׁאָלְתָּ.
zevach uminchah, lo-chafatzta-- oznayim, karitah liy; olah vachata'ah, lo sha'alta.
Sacrifice and meal-offering Thou hast no delight in; mine ears hast Thou opened; burnt-offering and sin-offering hast Thou not required.
8.
אָז אָמַרְתִּי, הִנֵּה-בָאתִי: בִּמְגִלַּת-סֵפֶר, כָּתוּב עָלָי.
Az amarti, hinneh-vati: bimgillat-sefer, katuv alay.
Then said I: 'Lo, I am come with the roll of a book which is prescribed for me;
9.
לַעֲשׂוֹת-רְצוֹנְךָ אֱלֹהַי חָפָצְתִּי; וְתוֹרָתְךָ, בְּתוֹךְ מֵעָי.
La'asot-retzonkha Elohai chafatsti; vetoratkha, betoch me'ay.
I delight to do Thy will, O my God; yea, Thy law is in my inmost parts.'
10.
בִּשַּׂרְתִּי צֶדֶק, בְּקָהָל רָב-- הִנֵּה שְׂפָתַי, לֹא אֶכְלָא:יְהוָה, אַתָּה יָדָעְתָּ.
Bissarti tzedek, bekahal rav-- hinneh sefatay, lo echla: YHWH, attah yada'ta.
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation, lo, I did not refrain my lips; O LORD, Thou knowest.
11.
צִדְקָתְךָ לֹא-כִסִּיתִי, בְּתוֹךְ לִבִּי-- אֱמוּנָתְךָ וּתְשׁוּעָתְךָ אָמָרְתִּי;לֹא-כִחַדְתִּי חַסְדְּךָ וַאֲמִתְּךָ, לְקָהָל רָב.
Tzidkatkha lo-chissiti, betoch libbi-- emunatkha uteshu'atkha amarti; lo-chichadti chasdekha va'amitkha, lekahal rav.
I have not hid Thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared Thy faithfulness and Thy salvation; I have not concealed Thy mercy and Thy truth from the great congregation.
12.
אַתָּה יְהוָה-- לֹא-תִכְלָא רַחֲמֶיךָ מִמֶּנִּי;חַסְדְּךָ וַאֲמִתְּךָ, תָּמִיד יִצְּרוּנִי.
Attah YHWH-- lo-tikla rakhemekha mimenni; khasdeka va'amitkha, tamid yitzteruni.
Thou, O LORD, wilt not withhold Thy compassions from me; let Thy mercy and Thy truth continually preserve me.
13.
כִּי אָפְפוּ-עָלַי רָעוֹת, עַד-אֵין מִסְפָּר--הִשִּׂיגוּנִי עֲוֺנֹתַי, וְלֹא-יָכֹלְתִּי לִרְאוֹת;עָצְמוּ מִשַּׂעֲרוֹת רֹאשִׁי, וְלִבִּי עֲזָבָנִי.
ki afofu-alay ra'ot, ad-ein mispar-- hissiguni avonotay, velo-yakholti lir'ot; atzmu misha'arot roshi, velibi azavani.
For innumerable evils have compassed me about, mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart hath failed me.
14.
רְצֵה יְהוָה, לְהַצִּילֵנִי; יְהוָה, לְעֶזְרָתִי חוּשָׁה.
retzeh YHWH, lehatzleni; YHWH, le'ezrati khushah.
Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me; O LORD, make haste to help me.
15.
יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיַחְפְּרוּ, יַחַד-- מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי, לִסְפּוֹתָהּ:יִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר, וְיִכָּלְמוּ-- חֲפֵצֵי, רָעָתִי.
yevoshu veyakhmperu, yakhad-- mevakshei nafshi, lispotah: yisogu akhor, veyikkalemu-- khafetzei, ra'ati.
Let them be ashamed and abashed together that seek after my soul to sweep it away; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that delight in my hurt.
16.
יָשֹׁמּוּ, עַל-עֵקֶב בָּשְׁתָּם-- הָאֹמְרִים לִי, הֶאָח הֶאָח.
yashommu, al-eqev boshtam-- ha'omrim li, he'ach he'ach.
Let them be appalled by reason of their shame that say unto me: 'Aha, aha.'
17.
יָשִׂישׂוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ, בְּךָ-- כָּל-מְבַקְשֶׁיךָ:יֹאמְרוּ תָמִיד, יִגְדַּל יְהוָה-- אֹהֲבֵי, תְּשׁוּעָתֶךָ.
yasishu veyismachu, bekha-- kol-mevakesheykha: yomru tamid, yigdal YHWH-- ohavei, tshu'atekha.
Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee; let such as love Thy salvation say continually: 'The LORD be magnified.'
18.
וַאֲנִי, עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן-- אֲדֹנָי יַחֲשָׁב-לִי:עֶזְרָתִי וּמְפַלְטִי אַתָּה; אֱלֹהַי, אַל-תְּאַחַר.
va'ani, ani ve'evyon-- Adonai yachashav-li: ezrati umfalti atah; Elohay, al-te'achar.
But, as for me, that am poor and needy, the Lord will account it unto me; Thou art my help and my deliverer; O my God, tarry not.
