1.לְדָוִד: אֵלֶיךָ יְהוָה, נַפְשִׁי אֶשָּׂא.ledavid: eleykha YHWH, nafshi essa.[A Psalm] of David. Unto Thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
2.אֱלֹהַי--בְּךָ בָטַחְתִּי, אַל-אֵבוֹשָׁה; אַל-יַעַלְצוּ אוֹיְבַי לִי.Elohay--bekha vatakhti, al-evoshah; al-ya'altsu oyvay li.O my God, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3.גַּם כָּל-קֹוֶיךָ, לֹא יֵבֹשׁוּ; יֵבֹשׁוּ, הַבּוֹגְדִים רֵיקָם.gam kol-koveykha, lo yevoshu; yevoshu, habogdim reikam.Yea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
4.דְּרָכֶיךָ יְהוָה, הוֹדִיעֵנִי; אֹרְחוֹתֶיךָ לַמְּדֵנִי.drakhekha YHWH, hodie'eni; orkhotekha lamedeni.Show me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths.
5.הַדְרִיכֵנִי בַאֲמִתֶּךָ, וְלַמְּדֵנִי-- כִּי-אַתָּה, אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעִי;אוֹתְךָ קִוִּיתִי, כָּל-הַיּוֹם.hadrikheni va'amitekha, velamedeni-- ki-atah, Elohey yis'i; otkha kiviti, kol-hayom.Guide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day.
6.זְכֹר-רַחֲמֶיךָ יְהוָה, וַחֲסָדֶיךָ: כִּי מֵעוֹלָם הֵמָּה.zekhor-rakhameykha YHWH, vakhasadeykha: ki me'olam hemmah.Remember, O LORD, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old.
7.חַטֹּאות נְעוּרַי, וּפְשָׁעַי-- אַל-תִּזְכֹּר:כְּחַסְדְּךָ זְכָר-לִי-אַתָּה-- לְמַעַן טוּבְךָ יְהוָה.khatto'at ne'uray, ufsashay-- al-tizkor: kekhasdeka zekhar-li-atah-- lema'an tuvkha YHWH.Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
8.טוֹב-וְיָשָׁר יְהוָה; עַל-כֵּן יוֹרֶה חַטָּאִים בַּדָּרֶךְ.tov ve'yashar YHWH; al-ken yoreh khatta'im baddarekh.Good and upright is the LORD; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way.
9.יַדְרֵךְ עֲנָוִים, בַּמִּשְׁפָּט; וִילַמֵּד עֲנָוִים דַּרְכּוֹ.yadrekh anavim, bammishpat; vilammed anavim darko.He guideth the humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way.
10.כָּל-אָרְחוֹת יְהוָה, חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת-- לְנֹצְרֵי בְרִיתוֹ, וְעֵדֹתָיו.kol-arkhot YHWH, khesed ve'emet-- lenotzrei verito, ve'edotav.All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
11.לְמַעַן-שִׁמְךָ יְהוָה; וְסָלַחְתָּ לַעֲוֺנִי, כִּי רַב-הוּא.lema'an-shimkha YHWH; vesalakhta la'avoni, ki rav-hu.For Thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
12.מִי-זֶה הָאִישׁ, יְרֵא יְהוָה-- יוֹרֶנּוּ, בְּדֶרֶךְ יִבְחָר.Mi-zeh ha'ish, yerei YHWH-- yorenu, bederekh yivchar.What man is he that feareth the LORD? Him will He instruct in the way that he should choose.
13.נַפְשׁוֹ, בְּטוֹב תָּלִין; וְזַרְעוֹ, יִירַשׁ אָרֶץ.nafsho, betov talin; vezar'o, yirash eretz.His soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land.
14.סוֹד יְהוָה, לִירֵאָיו; וּבְרִיתוֹ, לְהוֹדִיעָם.sod YHWH, lire'av; uverito, lehodiam.The counsel of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it.
15.עֵינַי תָּמִיד, אֶל-יְהוָה: כִּי הוּא-יוֹצִיא מֵרֶשֶׁת רַגְלָי.einay tamid, el-YHWH: ki hu-yotzi mereshet raglay.Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net.
16.פְּנֵה-אֵלַי וְחָנֵּנִי: כִּי-יָחִיד וְעָנִי אָנִי.pene-elay vechaneni: ki-yachid ve'ani ani.Turn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
17.צָרוֹת לְבָבִי הִרְחִיבוּ; מִמְּצוּקוֹתַי, הוֹצִיאֵנִי.tzarot levavi hirchivu; mimmetzuqotay, hotzi'eni.The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses.
18.רְאֵה עָנְיִי, וַעֲמָלִי; וְשָׂא, לְכָל-חַטֹּאותָי.re'eh 'anyi, va'amali; vesa, lekhal-chattotay.See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
19.רְאֵה-אֹיְבַי כִּי-רָבּוּ; וְשִׂנְאַת חָמָס שְׂנֵאוּנִי.re'eh-oyevay ki-rabbu; ve'sin'at chamas sene'uni.Consider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me.
20.שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי, וְהַצִּילֵנִי; אַל-אֵבוֹשׁ, כִּי-חָסִיתִי בָךְ.shomrah nafshi, vehatzileni; al-evosh, ki-chasiti vakh.O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee.
21.תֹּם-וָיֹשֶׁר יִצְּרוּנִי: כִּי, קִוִּיתִיךָ.tom-vayosher yitz'runi: ki, kivitivkha.Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee.
22.פְּדֵה אֱלֹהִים, אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל-- מִכֹּל, צָרוֹתָיו.pedeh Elohim, et-Yisrael-- mikol, tzarotav.Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
