לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל-הַשְּׁמִינִית, מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד.
lamnatze'ach al-hashminit, mizmor ledavid.
For the Leader; on the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.
2.
הוֹשִׁיעָה יְהוָה, כִּי-גָמַר חָסִיד: כִּי-פַסּוּ אֱמוּנִים, מִבְּנֵי אָדָם.
hoshiah YHWH, ki-gamar khasid: ki-fasu emunim, mibnei adam.
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

שָׁוְא, יְדַבְּרוּ--אִישׁ אֶת-רֵעֵהוּ: שְׂפַת חֲלָקוֹת--בְּלֵב וָלֵב יְדַבֵּרוּ.
shav, yedaberu ish et re'ehu, sefat chalakot belev valev yedaberu.
They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour; with flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

יַכְרֵת יְהוָה, כָּל-שִׂפְתֵי חֲלָקוֹת-- לָשׁוֹן, מְדַבֶּרֶת גְּדֹלוֹת.
yachret YHWH kol siftei chalakot, lashon medaberet gedolot.
May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things!

אֲשֶׁר אָמְרוּ, לִלְשֹׁנֵנוּ נַגְבִּיר--שְׂפָתֵינוּ אִתָּנוּ: מִי אָדוֹן לָנוּ.
asher amru lilshonenu nagbir, sefateinu itanu, mi adon lanu.
Who have said: 'Our tongue will we make mighty; our lips are with us: who is lord over us?'
6.
מִשֹּׁד עֲנִיִּים, מֵאֶנְקַת אֶבְיוֹנִים:עַתָּה אָקוּם, יֹאמַר יְהוָה; אָשִׁית בְּיֵשַׁע, יָפִיחַ לוֹ.
mishod aniyim, me'enkat evyonim, ata akum yomar YHWH, ashit beyesha yafiach lo.
'For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise', saith the LORD; 'I will set him in safety at whom they puff.'
7.
אִמְרוֹת יְהוָה, אֲמָרוֹת טְהֹרוֹת:כֶּסֶף צָרוּף, בַּעֲלִיל לָאָרֶץ; מְזֻקָּק, שִׁבְעָתָיִם.
imrot YHWH, amarot tehorot: kesef tzaruf, ba'alil la'aretz; mezukaq, shiv'atayim.
The words of the LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a crucible on the earth, refined seven times.
8.
אַתָּה-יְהוָה תִּשְׁמְרֵם; תִּצְּרֶנּוּ, מִן-הַדּוֹר זוּ לְעוֹלָם.
atah-YHWH tishmerem; titzerenu, min-hador zu le'olam.
Thou wilt keep them, O LORD; Thou wilt preserve us from this generation for ever.
9.
סָבִיב, רְשָׁעִים יִתְהַלָּכוּן; כְּרֻם זֻלּוּת, לִבְנֵי אָדָם.
saviv, resha'im yithalakhun; kerum zulut, livnei adam.
The wicked walk on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
