בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם, אֵין מֶלֶךְ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל; וּבַיָּמִים הָהֵם, שֵׁבֶט הַדָּנִי מְבַקֶּשׁ-לוֹ נַחֲלָה לָשֶׁבֶת--כִּי לֹא-נָפְלָה לּוֹ עַד-הַיּוֹם הַהוּא בְּתוֹךְ-שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, בְּנַחֲלָה.
bayamim hahem, ein melekh beyisrael; uvayamim hahem, shevet hadani mevakesh-lo nachalah lashevet--ki lo-nafelah lo ad-hayom hahu betokh-shivtei yisrael, benachalah.
In those days there was no king in Israel; and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day there had nothing been allotted unto them among the tribes of Israel for an inheritance.
