וַיַּעַן אִיּוֹב, וַיֹּאמַר.
வாயாஅன் இயோவ் வாயோமார்
Then Job answered and said:

שָׁמַעְתִּי כְאֵלֶּה רַבּוֹת; מְנַחֲמֵי עָמָל כֻּלְּכֶם.
ஷாமாஃதீ கெஎல்லெ ரப்போத் மெநஹமே அமால் குல்லெகெம்
I have heard many such things; sorry comforters are ye all.
3.
הֲקֵץ לְדִבְרֵי-רוּחַ; אוֹ מַה-יַּמְרִיצְךָ, כִּי תַעֲנֶה.
ஹாகேட்ஸ் லெதிவ்ரே-ரூஅக ஓ மா-யம்ரீட்சகா கீ தஅநெ
Shall windy words have an end? Or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?
4.
גַּם, אָנֹכִי-- כָּכֶם אֲדַבֵּרָה:לוּ יֵשׁ נַפְשְׁכֶם, תַּחַת נַפְשִׁי-- אַחְבִּירָה עֲלֵיכֶם בְּמִלִּים;וְאָנִיעָה עֲלֵיכֶם, בְּמוֹ רֹאשִׁי.
கம் ஆனோகீ காகெம் அதாப்பீரா லூ யேஷ் நாஃப்ஷெகெம் தஹத் நாஃப்ஷீ அக்பீரா அலேகெம் பெமில்லீம் வெஆநீஆ அலேகெம் பெமோ ரோஷீ
I also could speak as ye do; if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could join words together against you, and shake my head at you.
5.
אֲאַמִּצְכֶם בְּמוֹ-פִי; וְנִיד שְׂפָתַי יַחְשֹׂךְ.
அஅமிட்சுகெம் பெமோ-ஃபீ வெநீத் செஃபாதாய் யஹ்ஷோக்
I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips would assuage your grief.
6.
אִם-אֲדַבְּרָה, לֹא-יֵחָשֵׂךְ כְּאֵבִי; וְאַחְדְּלָה, מַה-מִּנִּי יַהֲלֹךְ.
இம்-அதாப்பீரா லோ-யேஹாஷேக் கெஏவீ வெஅஹ்தெலா மா-மின்னீ யஹலோக்
Though I speak, my pain is not assuaged; and though I forbear, what am I eased?
7.
אַךְ-עַתָּה הֶלְאָנִי; הֲשִׁמּוֹתָ, כָּל-עֲדָתִי.
அக்-அத்தா ஹெல்ஆநீ ஹாஷிம்மோதா கொல்-அதாத்தீ
But now He hath made me weary; Thou hast made desolate all my company.
8.
וַתִּקְמְטֵנִי, לְעֵד הָיָה; וַיָּקָם בִּי כַחֲשִׁי, בְּפָנַי יַעֲנֶה.
வதிக்கொம்தேநீ லெஏத் ஹாயா வாயாகாம் பீ கஹஷீ பெஃபானாய் யாஅநெ
And Thou hast shrivelled me up, which is a witness against me; and my leanness riseth up against me, it testifieth to my face.
9.
אַפּוֹ טָרַף, וַיִּשְׂטְמֵנִי--חָרַק עָלַי בְּשִׁנָּיו; צָרִי, יִלְטֹשׁ עֵינָיו לִי.
அப்போ தாரஃப் வாயிஷ்தெமேநீ ஹாராக் அலாய் பெஷின்னாவ் தாரீ யில்தோஷ் ஏநாவ் லீ
He hath torn me in His wrath, and hated me; He hath gnashed upon me with His teeth; mine adversary sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
10.
פָּעֲרוּ עָלַי, בְּפִיהֶם--בְּחֶרְפָּה, הִכּוּ לְחָיָי; יַחַד, עָלַי יִתְמַלָּאוּן.
பாஅரூ அலாய் பெஃபீஹெம் பெஹெர்பா ஹிக்கூ லெஹாயாய் யஹத் அலாய் யித்மல்லாஊன்
They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek scornfully; they gather themselves together against me.
11.
יַסְגִּירֵנִי אֵל, אֶל עֲוִיל; וְעַל-יְדֵי רְשָׁעִים יִרְטֵנִי.
யாஸ்கீரேநீ எல் எல் அவீல் வெஅல்-யதே ரெஷாஈம் யிர்தேநீ
God delivereth me to the ungodly, and casteth me into the hands of the wicked.
12.
שָׁלֵו הָיִיתִי, וַיְפַרְפְּרֵנִי-- וְאָחַז בְּעָרְפִּי, וַיְפַצְפְּצֵנִי;וַיְקִימֵנִי לוֹ, לְמַטָּרָה.
ஷாலேவ் ஹாயீதீ வாயஃபார்ப்பெரேநீ வெஆஹாஸ் பெஆர்ஃபீ வாயஃபக்பகேசேநீ வாயகீமேநீ லோ லெமாத்தாரா
I was at ease, and He broke me asunder; yea, He hath taken me by the neck, and dashed me to pieces; He hath also set me up for His mark.
13.
יָסֹבּוּ עָלַי, רַבָּיו-- יְפַלַּח כִּלְיוֹתַי, וְלֹא יַחְמֹל;יִשְׁפֹּךְ לָאָרֶץ, מְרֵרָתִי.
யாஸொப்பு ஆலய் ரப்பாவ் யிபல்லக கில்யோதாய் வெலோ யகமோல் யிஷ்போக் லாஆரெட்ஸ் மெரேராததி
His archers compass me round about, He cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; He poureth out my gall upon the ground.
14.
יִפְרְצֵנִי פֶרֶץ, עַל-פְּנֵי-פָרֶץ; יָרֻץ עָלַי כְּגִבּוֹר.
யிப்ரெட்சேனி பெரெட்ஸ் அல்பெனேபாரெட்ஸ் யாருட்ஸ் ஆலய் கெகிப்போர்
He breaketh me with breach upon breach; He runneth upon me like a giant.
15.
שַׂק תָּפַרְתִּי, עֲלֵי גִלְדִּי; וְעֹלַלְתִּי בֶעָפָר קַרְנִי.
ஸக் தபார்ததி அலே கில்தி வெஒலல்ததி பேஆபார் கர்னி
I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and have laid my horn in the dust.
16.
פָּנַי חמרמרה חֳמַרְמְרוּ, מִנִּי-בֶכִי; וְעַל עַפְעַפַּי צַלְמָוֶת.
பானாய் கொமர்மரு மின்னிபெகி வெஅல் அபஅப்பாய் சல்மாவெத்
My face is reddened with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
17.
עַל, לֹא-חָמָס בְּכַפָּי; וּתְפִלָּתִי זַכָּה.
அல் லோகாமாஸ் பெகப்பாய் உதபில்லாதி ஜக்கா
Although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.
18.
אֶרֶץ, אַל-תְּכַסִּי דָמִי; וְאַל-יְהִי מָקוֹם, לְזַעֲקָתִי.
ஆரெட்ஸ் அல்தகஸ்ஸி தாமி வெஅல்யெஹி மாகோம் லெஸஅகாதி
O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no resting-place.
19.
גַּם-עַתָּה, הִנֵּה-בַשָּׁמַיִם עֵדִי; וְשָׂהֲדִי, בַּמְּרֹמִים.
கம்அத்தா ஹின்னேவஷ்ஷமாயிம் ஏதி வெஸாஹெதி பாம்மெரோமிம்
Even now, behold, my Witness is in heaven, and He that testifieth of me is on high.
20.
מְלִיצַי רֵעָי; אֶל-אֱלוֹהַּ, דָּלְפָה עֵינִי.
மெலீட்சாய் ரேயாய் எல்எலோஹ தல்பா ஏனி
Mine inward thoughts are my intercessors, mine eye poureth out tears unto God;
21.
וְיוֹכַח לְגֶבֶר עִם-אֱלוֹהַּ; וּבֶן-אָדָם לְרֵעֵהוּ.
வெயோகக லெகெவெர் இம்எலோஹ உவென்ஆதாம் லெரேஏஹு
That He would set aright a man contending with God, as a son of man setteth aright his neighbour!
22.
כִּי-שְׁנוֹת מִסְפָּר יֶאֱתָיוּ; וְאֹרַח לֹא-אָשׁוּב אֶהֱלֹךְ.
கிஷ்நோத் மிஸ்பார் யெஎதாயு வெஓராக் லோஆஷுவ் எஹெலோக்
For the years that are few are coming on, and I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
