רוּחַ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, עָלָי--יַעַן מָשַׁח יְהוָה אֹתִי לְבַשֵּׂר עֲנָוִים, שְׁלָחַנִי לַחֲבֹשׁ לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי-לֵב, לִקְרֹא לִשְׁבוּיִם דְּרוֹר, וְלַאֲסוּרִים פְּקַח-קוֹחַ.
ruach Adonai YHWH, alay--ya'an mashach YHWH oti levasser anavim, shelachani lachavosh lenishbere-lev, likro lishvuyim deror, vela'asurim pekach-koach.
The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;

לִקְרֹא שְׁנַת-רָצוֹן לַיהוָה, וְיוֹם נָקָם לֵאלֹהֵינוּ, לְנַחֵם, כָּל-אֲבֵלִים.
likro shenat-ratzon laYHWH, veyom nakam leloheinu, lenachem, kol-avelim.
To proclaim the year of the LORD'S good pleasure, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

לָשׂוּם לַאֲבֵלֵי צִיּוֹן, לָתֵת לָהֶם פְּאֵר תַּחַת אֵפֶר שֶׁמֶן שָׂשׂוֹן תַּחַת אֵבֶל--מַעֲטֵה תְהִלָּה, תַּחַת רוּחַ כֵּהָה; וְקֹרָא לָהֶם אֵילֵי הַצֶּדֶק, מַטַּע יְהוָה לְהִתְפָּאֵר.
lasum la'avelei tziyon, latet lahem pe'er tachat efer shemen sason tachat evel--ma'ateh tehillah, tachat ruach kehah; vekora lahem eilei tatzedek, matta YHWH lehitpa'er.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, wherein He might glory.

וּבָנוּ חָרְבוֹת עוֹלָם, שֹׁמְמוֹת רִאשֹׁנִים יְקוֹמֵמוּ; וְחִדְּשׁוּ עָרֵי חֹרֶב, שֹׁמְמוֹת דּוֹר וָדוֹר.
u'vanu kharvot olam, shommot rishonim yekomemu; vekhidheshu arei khorev, shommot dor vador.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall renew the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5.
וְעָמְדוּ זָרִים, וְרָעוּ צֹאנְכֶם; וּבְנֵי נֵכָר, אִכָּרֵיכֶם וְכֹרְמֵיכֶם.
ve'amedu zarim, vera'u tzonkhem; uvenei nekhar, ikareikhem vekhorkmeikhem.
And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and aliens shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6.
וְאַתֶּם, כֹּהֲנֵי יְהוָה תִּקָּרֵאוּ--מְשָׁרְתֵי אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יֵאָמֵר לָכֶם; חֵיל גּוֹיִם תֹּאכֵלוּ, וּבִכְבוֹדָם תִּתְיַמָּרוּ.
ve'atem, kohanei YHWH tikareu--meshartei Eloheinu, ye'amer lakhem; kheil goyim tokhelu, uvikhmvodam tityamaru.
But ye shall be named the priests of the LORD, men shall call you the ministers of our God; ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their splendour shall ye revel.
7.
תַּחַת בָּשְׁתְּכֶם מִשְׁנֶה, וּכְלִמָּה יָרֹנּוּ חֶלְקָם; לָכֵן בְּאַרְצָם מִשְׁנֶה יִירָשׁוּ, שִׂמְחַת עוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה לָהֶם.
takhat bashtekhem mishneh, ukhlimah yaronnu khelkam; lakhen be'artzam mishneh yirashu, simkhat olam tihyeh lahem.
For your shame which was double, and for that they rejoiced: 'Confusion is their portion'; therefore in their land they shall possess double, everlasting joy shall be unto them.

כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֹהֵב מִשְׁפָּט, שֹׂנֵא גָזֵל בְּעוֹלָה; וְנָתַתִּי פְעֻלָּתָם בֶּאֱמֶת, וּבְרִית עוֹלָם אֶכְרוֹת לָהֶם.
ki ani YHWH ohev mishpat, sone gazel be'olah; venatati fe'ullatam be'emet, uverit olam ekhrot lahem.
For I the LORD love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9.
וְנוֹדַע בַּגּוֹיִם זַרְעָם, וְצֶאֱצָאֵיהֶם בְּתוֹךְ הָעַמִּים; כָּל-רֹאֵיהֶם יַכִּירוּם, כִּי הֵם זֶרַע בֵּרַךְ יְהוָה.
vonoda bagoyim zar'am, vetze'atzeihem betokh ha'amim; kol-ro'eyim yakirum, ki hem zera berakh YHWH.
And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
10.
שׂוֹשׂ אָשִׂישׂ בַּיהוָה, תָּגֵל נַפְשִׁי בֵּאלֹהַי--כִּי הִלְבִּישַׁנִי בִּגְדֵי-יֶשַׁע, מְעִיל צְדָקָה יְעָטָנִי: כֶּחָתָן יְכַהֵן פְּאֵר, וְכַכַּלָּה תַּעְדֶּה כֵלֶיהָ.
sosh asis baYHWH, tagel nafshi be'Elohay--ki hilbishani bigde-yeshe, me'il tzedakah ye'atani: kekhatan yekhahen pe'er, vekakhalah ta'adeh kheleiha.
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
11.
כִּי כָאָרֶץ תּוֹצִיא צִמְחָהּ, וּכְגַנָּה זֵרוּעֶיהָ תַצְמִיחַ--כֵּן אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה, יַצְמִיחַ צְדָקָה וּתְהִלָּה, נֶגֶד, כָּל-הַגּוֹיִם.
ki ka'aretz totzi tzimkhah, ukhgannah zeru'eiha tatzmi'ach--ken Adonai YHWIH, yatzmi'ach tzedakah uteshilah, neged, kol-hagoyim.
For as the earth bringeth forth her growth, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause victory and glory to spring forth before all the nations.
