1.
vayotzi'eni, el-hekhatzer hakhitzonah--hadderekh, derekh hatzafon; vayvi'eni el-hallishkah, asher neged hagizrah va'asher-neged habinyan--el-hatzafon.
Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north; and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building, toward the north,
2.
el-penei-orekh amot hame'ah, petakh hatzafon; veharokhav, khamishim amot.
even to the front of the length of a hundred cubits, with the door on the north, and the breadth of fifty cubits,
3.
neged ha'esrim, asher lekhatzer hapenimi, veneged ritzfah, asher lekhatzer hakhitzonah--attiq el-penei-attiq, bashelishim.
over against the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and over against the pavement which belonged to the outer court; with gallery against gallery in three stories.
4.
velifnei haleshakot mahalakh eser amot rokhav, el-hapenimit--derekh, ama ekhat; ufiteheihem, latzafon.
And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north.
5.
vehaleshakot ha'elyonot, qetzuroot: ki-yokhlu attiqim mehenna, mehatakhtinot umehatikhonot--binyan.
Now the upper chambers were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middlemost, in the building.
6.
For they were in three stories, and they had not pillars as the pillars of the courts; therefore room was taken away from the lowest and the middlemost, in comparison with the ground.
7.
ve'gader asher-lachutz le'umat haleshavot, derekh hechatzer hachitzonah el-penei haleshavot--ar'ko, chamishim amah.
And the wall that was without by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court in front of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.
8.
ki-orekh haleshavot, asher lechatzer hachitzonah--chamishim amah; vehineh al-penei haheikal, me'ah amah.
For the length of the chambers that were toward the outer court was fifty cubits; and, lo, before the temple were a hundred cubits.
9.
u'mitachat haleshavot ha'eleh--hamavo hamevi, mehakadim, bevo'o lahenah, mehechatzer hachitzonah.
And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the outer court.
10.
be'rohav geder hechatzer, derekh hakadim el-penei hagizrah ve'el-penei habinyan--leshavot.
In the breadth of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were chambers,
11.
vede'rekh, lifneihem, kemar'eh halle'shakhot asher de'rekh hatzafon, ke'arkam ken rakhbam; vekhol, motza'eihen, ukhmishpeteihen, ukhfitcheihen.
with a way before them; like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they, with all their goings out, and according to their fashions; and as their doors,
12.
ukhfitchei halle'shakhot, asher de'rekh hadarom, petach, berosh darekh; de'rekh, bifnei haggederet haginah, de'rekh haqaadim, bevo'an.
so were also the doors of the chambers that were toward the south, there was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall, toward the way from the east, as one entereth into them.
13.
vayo'mer elay, lishchot hatzafon lishchot hadarom asher el-pnei haggizrah, hennah lishchot haqqodesh asher yokhlu-sham hakohenim asher-qrovim laYHWH, qadshei haqqodashim: sham yannichu qadshei haqqodashim, vehamminchah vehachatta'at veha'asham--ki hammakom, qadosh.
Then said he unto me: 'The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they are the holy chambers, where the priests that are near unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things; there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal-offering, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering; for the place is holy.
14.
bevo'am hakohenim, velo-yeze'u mehaqqodesh el-hechatzer hachitzonah, vesham yannichu vigdeihem asher-yesharētu vahen, ki-qodesh hennah; yilbeshu uvelavshu begadim acherim, veqarvu el-asher la'am.
When the priests enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister, for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertaineth to the people.'
15.
vekillah, et-middot habbayit hapenimi, vehotsiani derekh hashsha'ar, asher panav derekh haqqadim; umedado, saviv saviv.
Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.
16.
madad ruach haqqadim, biqneh hammidah--chamesh-amot me'ot qanim biqneh hammidah, saviv.
He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
17.
madad, ruach hatzafon--chamesh-me'ot qanim biqneh hammidah, saviv.
He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
18.
et ruach haddarom, madad--chamesh-me'ot qanim, biqneh hammidah.
He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.
19.
savav, el-ruach hayam; madad khamesh-me'ot kanim, bikne hamidah.
He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
20.
le'arba ruchot medado, choma lo saviv saviv--orekh khamesh me'ot, verochav khamesh me'ot: lehavdil, bein hakodesh lekhol.
He measured it by the four sides; it had a wall round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
