1.
וּמִן-הַתְּכֵלֶת וְהָאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי, עָשׂוּ בִגְדֵי-שְׂרָד לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ; וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת-בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ, אֲשֶׁר לְאַהֲרֹן, כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
umin-hattekhelet veha'argaman vetola'at hashani, ashu vigdei-serad lesharet bakkodesh; vayya'asu et-bigdei hakkodesh, asher le'Aharon, ka'asher tzivvah YHWH, et-Mosheh.
And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made plaited garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.
2.
וַיַּעַשׂ, אֶת-הָאֵפֹד: זָהָב, תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי--וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר.
vayya'as, et-ha'efod: zahav, tekhelet ve'argaman vetola'at shani--veshesh moshzar.
And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
3.
וַיְרַקְּעוּ אֶת-פַּחֵי הַזָּהָב, וְקִצֵּץ פְּתִילִם, לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּתוֹךְ הַתְּכֵלֶת וּבְתוֹךְ הָאַרְגָּמָן, וּבְתוֹךְ תּוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי וּבְתוֹךְ הַשֵּׁשׁ--מַעֲשֵׂה, חֹשֵׁב.
vayrakke'u et-pachei hazahav, vekitze'tz p'tilim, la'asot b'tokh hatekhelet uv'tokh ha'argaman, uv'תוֹךְ tula'at hashani uv'tokh hashesh--ma'aseh, khoshev.
And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into threads, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of the skilful workman.
4.
כְּתֵפֹת עָשׂוּ-לוֹ, חֹבְרֹת--עַל-שְׁנֵי קצוותו קְצוֹתָיו, חֻבָּר.
ketefot ashu-lo, khochrot--al-shnei ktsotav, chubar.
They made shoulder-pieces for it, joined together; at the two ends was it joined together.
5.
וְחֵשֶׁב אֲפֻדָּתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו, מִמֶּנּוּ הוּא כְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ, זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי, וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר--כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
ve'heshiv afuddato asher alav, mimmennu hu kema'asehu, zahav tekhelet ve'argaman ve'tola'at shani, ve'shesh moshzar--ka'asher tzivwa YHWH, et-Moshe.
And the skilfully woven band, that was upon it, wherewith to gird it on, was of the same piece and like the work thereof: of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
6.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת-אַבְנֵי הַשֹּׁהַם, מֻסַבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב, מְפֻתָּחֹת פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם, עַל-שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
vayya'asu et-avnei hashoham, musabot mishbetzot zahav, mefuttachot pittuchei khotam, al-shemot benei Yisrael.
And they wrought the onyx stones, inclosed in settings of gold, graven with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.
7.
וַיָּשֶׂם אֹתָם, עַל כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד--אַבְנֵי זִכָּרוֹן, לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
Vayasem otam, al kitfot ha'efod--avnei zikaron, livnei Yisrael: ka'asher tzivah YHWH, et-Mosheh.
And he put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.
8.
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-הַחֹשֶׁן מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב, כְּמַעֲשֵׂה אֵפֹד: זָהָב, תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי--וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר.
vay'as et-hashoshen ma'aseh khoshev, kema'aseh efod: zahav, tekhelet ve'argaman vetola'at shani--veshesh moshzar.
And he made the breastplate, the work of the skilful workman, like the work of the ephod: of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9.
רָבוּעַ הָיָה כָּפוּל, עָשׂוּ אֶת-הַחֹשֶׁן--זֶרֶת אָרְכּוֹ וְזֶרֶת רָחְבּוֹ, כָּפוּל.
ravu'a hayah khaful, ashu et-hachoshen--zeret arko veze'et rachbo, khaful.
It was four-square; they made the breastplate double; a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being double.
10.
וַיְמַלְאוּ-בוֹ--אַרְבָּעָה, טוּרֵי אָבֶן: טוּר, אֹדֶם פִּטְדָה וּבָרֶקֶת--הַטּוּר, הָאֶחָד.
vaymale'u-vo--arba'ah, turei aven: tur, odem pitdah uvareket--hatur, ha'echad.
And they set in it four rows of stones: a row of carnelian, topaz, and smaragd was the first row.
11.
וְהַטּוּר, הַשֵּׁנִי--נֹפֶךְ סַפִּיר, וְיָהֲלֹם.
vehatur, hasheni--nofekh sappir, veyahalom.
And the second row, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and an emerald.
12.
וְהַטּוּר, הַשְּׁלִישִׁי--לֶשֶׁם שְׁבוֹ, וְאַחְלָמָה.
vehatur, hashshalishi--leshem shevo, ve'ahlamah.
And the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst.
13.
וְהַטּוּר, הָרְבִיעִי--תַּרְשִׁישׁ שֹׁהַם, וְיָשְׁפֵה: מוּסַבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב, בְּמִלֻּאֹתָם.
vehatur, hareviei--tarshish shoham, veyashefe: musabot mishbatzot zahav, bemilluotam.
And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper; they were inclosed in fittings of gold in their settings.
14.
וְהָאֲבָנִים עַל-שְׁמֹת בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל הֵנָּה, שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה--עַל-שְׁמֹתָם: פִּתּוּחֵי חֹתָם אִישׁ עַל-שְׁמוֹ, לִשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר שָׁבֶט.
veha'avanim 'al shemot benei Yisrael hennah, sheteim 'esreh--'al shemotam: pittuhei khotam ish 'al shemo, lishneim 'asar shavet.
And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
15.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ עַל-הַחֹשֶׁן שַׁרְשְׁרֹת גַּבְלֻת, מַעֲשֵׂה עֲבֹת, זָהָב, טָהוֹר.
vay'asu al-hachoshen sharsherot gavlut, ma'aseh avot, zahav, tahor.
And they made upon the breastplate plaited chains, of wreathen work of pure gold.
16.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ, שְׁתֵּי מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב, וּשְׁתֵּי, טַבְּעֹת זָהָב; וַיִּתְּנוּ, אֶת-שְׁתֵּי הַטַּבָּעֹת, עַל-שְׁנֵי, קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן.
vayya'asu, shetei mishbetzot zahav, ushtei, tab'ot zahav; vayyittenu, et-shetei hattaba'ot, 'al-shenei, ketzot hachoshen.
And they made two settings of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
17.
וַיִּתְּנוּ, שְׁתֵּי הָעֲבֹתֹת הַזָּהָב, עַל-שְׁתֵּי, הַטַּבָּעֹת--עַל-קְצוֹת, הַחֹשֶׁן.
vayittenu, shetei ha'avotot hazahav, al-shetei, hattaba'ot--al-ketzot, hachoshen.
And they put the two wreathen chains of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
18.
וְאֵת שְׁתֵּי קְצוֹת שְׁתֵּי הָעֲבֹתֹת, נָתְנוּ עַל-שְׁתֵּי הַמִּשְׁבְּצֹת; וַיִּתְּנֻם עַל-כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד, אֶל-מוּל פָּנָיו.
ve'et shetei ketzot shetei ha'avotot, natnu al-shetei hammishbatzot; vayittenum al-kitfot ha'efod, el-mul panav.
And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains they put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, in the forepart thereof.
19.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ, שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעֹת זָהָב, וַיָּשִׂימוּ, עַל-שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן: עַל-שְׂפָתוֹ--אֲשֶׁר אֶל-עֵבֶר הָאֵפֹד, בָּיְתָה.
vayya'asu, shetei tabbe'ot zahav, vayyasimu, 'al-shenei ketzot hachoshen: 'al-sefato--asher 'el-'ever ha'efod, bayetah.
And they made two rings of gold, and put them upon the two ends of the breastplate, upon the edge thereof, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
20.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ, שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעֹת זָהָב, וַיִּתְּנֻם עַל-שְׁתֵּי כִתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד מִלְּמַטָּה מִמּוּל פָּנָיו, לְעֻמַּת מַחְבַּרְתּוֹ--מִמַּעַל, לְחֵשֶׁב הָאֵפֹד.
vayya'asu, shetei tabbe'ot zahav, vayyittenum al-shetei khitfot ha'efod millematta mimmul panav, le'ummat machbarto--mimma'al, lecheshev ha'efod.
And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof, above the skilfully woven band of the ephod.
21.
וַיִּרְכְּסוּ אֶת-הַחֹשֶׁן מִטַּבְּעֹתָיו אֶל-טַבְּעֹת הָאֵפֹד בִּפְתִיל תְּכֵלֶת, לִהְיֹת עַל-חֵשֶׁב הָאֵפֹד, וְלֹא-יִזַּח הַחֹשֶׁן, מֵעַל הָאֵפֹד--כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
vayirkesu et-hachoshen mittabbe'otav el-tabbe'ot ha'efod biftil tekhelet, lihyot al-cheshev ha'efod, velo-yizzach hachoshen, me'al ha'efod--ka'asher tzivwah YHWH, et-Mosheh.
And they did bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a thread of blue, that it might be upon the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22.
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-מְעִיל הָאֵפֹד, מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג, כְּלִיל, תְּכֵלֶת.
vayya'as et-me'il ha'efod, ma'aseh oreg, kelil, tekhelet.
And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue;
23.
וּפִי-הַמְּעִיל בְּתוֹכוֹ, כְּפִי תַחְרָא; שָׂפָה לְפִיו סָבִיב, לֹא יִקָּרֵעַ.
u'fi-hamme'il betokho, kefi takhra; safah lefiv saviv, lo yikkare'a.
and the hole of the robe in the midst thereof, as the hole of a coat of mail, with a binding round about the hole of it, that it should not be rent.
24.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ, עַל-שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל, רִמּוֹנֵי, תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי--מָשְׁזָר.
vayta'asu, 'al-shulei hamme'il, rimmonei, tekhelet ve'argaman vetolat shani--mashzar.
And they made upon the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
25.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פַעֲמֹנֵי, זָהָב טָהוֹר; וַיִּתְּנוּ אֶת-הַפַּעֲמֹנִים בְּתוֹךְ הָרִמֹּנִים, עַל-שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל סָבִיב--בְּתוֹךְ, הָרִמֹּנִים.
vayya'asu fa'amonei, zahav tahor; vayyittenu et-happa'amonim betokh harimmonim, 'al-shulei hamme'il saviv--betokh, harimmonim.
And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the skirts of the robe round about, between the pomegranates:
26.
פַּעֲמֹן וְרִמֹּן פַּעֲמֹן וְרִמֹּן, עַל-שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל סָבִיב, לְשָׁרֵת, כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
pa'amon verimmon pa'amon verimmon, al-shulei hamme'il saviv, lesharet, ka'asher tzivvah YHWH et-Mosheh.
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about, to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.
27.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת-הַכָּתְנֹת שֵׁשׁ, מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג, לְאַהֲרֹן, וּלְבָנָיו.
vayya'asu et-hakkatnot shesh, ma'aseh oreg, le'aharon, ulevanav.
And they made the tunics of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
28.
וְאֵת הַמִּצְנֶפֶת שֵׁשׁ, וְאֶת-פַּאֲרֵי הַמִּגְבָּעֹת שֵׁשׁ, וְאֶת-מִכְנְסֵי הַבָּד, שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר.
ve'et hamitztnefet shesh, ve'et-pa'arei hammigba'ot shesh, ve'et-mikhnesei habad, shesh moshetzar.
and the mitre of fine linen, and the goodly head-tires of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen,
29.
וְאֶת-הָאַבְנֵט שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר, וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי--מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵם: כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
ve'et-ha'avnet shesh moshzar, uthekhelet ve'argaman vetola'at shani--ma'aseh rokem: ka'asher tzivwah YHWH, et-Mosheh.
and the girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, the work of the weaver in colours; as the LORD commanded Moses.
30.
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת-צִיץ נֵזֶר-הַקֹּדֶשׁ, זָהָב טָהוֹר; וַיִּכְתְּבוּ עָלָיו, מִכְתַּב פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם--קֹדֶשׁ, לַיהוָה.
vaya'asu et-tzitz nezer-hakkodesh, zahav tahor; vayikhtevu alav, mikhtav pittuhei khotam--kodesh, lAdonai.
And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: HOLY TO THE LORD.
31.
וַיִּתְּנוּ עָלָיו פְּתִיל תְּכֵלֶת, לָתֵת עַל-הַמִּצְנֶפֶת מִלְמָעְלָה, כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
vayittenu alav petil tekhelet, latet al-hammitznefet milma'elah, ka'asher tzivvah YHWH, et-Mosheh.
And they tied unto it a thread of blue, to fasten it upon the mitre above; as the LORD commanded Moses.
32.
וַתֵּכֶל--כָּל-עֲבֹדַת, מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד; וַיַּעֲשׂוּ, בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל--כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה, כֵּן עָשׂוּ.
vatekhel kol-avodat mishkan ohel mo'ed; vayya'asu bnei Yisrael--kekhol asher tzivvah YHWH et-Moshe, ken asu.
Thus was finished all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting; and the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
33.
וַיָּבִיאוּ אֶת-הַמִּשְׁכָּן אֶל-מֹשֶׁה, אֶת-הָאֹהֶל וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו, קְרָסָיו קְרָשָׁיו, בְּרִיחָו וְעַמֻּדָיו וַאֲדָנָיו.
vayavi'u et-hammishkan el-Moshe, et-ha'ohel ve'et-kol-kelav, krasav krashav, brichav ve'ammadav va'adanav.
And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the Tent, and all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets;
34.
וְאֶת-מִכְסֵה עוֹרֹת הָאֵילִם, הַמְאָדָּמִים, וְאֶת-מִכְסֵה, עֹרֹת הַתְּחָשִׁים; וְאֵת, פָּרֹכֶת הַמָּסָךְ.
ve'et-mikhseh 'orot ha'elim, ham'addamim, ve'et-mikhseh, 'orot hat'khashim; ve'et, parokhet hammassakh.
and the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of sealskins, and the veil of the screen;
35.
אֶת-אֲרוֹן הָעֵדֻת, וְאֶת-בַּדָּיו; וְאֵת, הַכַּפֹּרֶת.
et-aron ha'edut, ve'et-baddav; ve'et, hakkapporet.
the ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the ark-cover;
36.
אֶת-הַשֻּׁלְחָן, אֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו, וְאֵת, לֶחֶם הַפָּנִים.
et-hashulkhan, et-kol-kelav, ve'et, lekhem happanim.
the table, all the vessels thereof, and the showbread;
37.
אֶת-הַמְּנֹרָה הַטְּהֹרָה אֶת-נֵרֹתֶיהָ, נֵרֹת הַמַּעֲרָכָה--וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלֶיהָ; וְאֵת, שֶׁמֶן הַמָּאוֹר.
et-hammenorah hattahorah et-neroteyha, nerot hamma'arakah--ve'et-kol-keleyha; ve'et, shemen hamma'or.
the pure candlestick, the lamps thereof, even the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for the light;
38.
וְאֵת, מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב, וְאֵת שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה, וְאֵת קְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים; וְאֵת, מָסַךְ פֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל.
ve'et mizbach hazzahav, ve'et shemen hammishchah, ve'et ketoret hassamim; ve'et masakh petach ha'ohel.
and the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the screen for the door of the Tent;
39.
אֵת מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת, וְאֶת-מִכְבַּר הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ, אֶת-בַּדָּיו, וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו; אֶת-הַכִּיֹּר, וְאֶת-כַּנּוֹ.
et mizbakh hannekhoshet, ve'et-mikbar hannekhoshet asher-lo, et-baddav, ve'et-kol-kelav; et-hakkiyor, ve'et-kanno.
the brazen altar, and its grating of brass, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base;
40.
אֵת קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר אֶת-עַמֻּדֶיהָ וְאֶת-אֲדָנֶיהָ, וְאֶת-הַמָּסָךְ לְשַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר, אֶת-מֵיתָרָיו, וִיתֵדֹתֶיהָ; וְאֵת, כָּל-כְּלֵי עֲבֹדַת הַמִּשְׁכָּן--לְאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד.
et kal'ei hekhatzer et-amudeiha ve'et-adaneiha, ve'et-hamassakh lesha'ar hekhatzer, et-meitarav, vitedoteiha; ve'et, kol-kelei avodat hammishkan--le'ohel mo'ed.
the hangings of the court, its pillars, and its sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court, the cords thereof, and the pins thereof, and all the instruments of the service of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting;
41.
אֶת-בִּגְדֵי הַשְּׂרָד, לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ; אֶת-בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן, וְאֶת-בִּגְדֵי בָנָיו לְכַהֵן.
et-bigdei hashsrad, lesharet bakkodesh; et-bigdei hakkodesh le'Aharon hakohen, ve'et-bigdei banav lekhen.
the plaited garments for ministering in the holy place; the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.
42.
כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה, אֶת-מֹשֶׁה: כֵּן עָשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֵת כָּל-הָעֲבֹדָה.
kekhol asher-tzivvah YHWH, et-Moshe: ken ashu bene Yisrael, et kol-ha'avodah.
According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.
43.
וַיַּרְא מֹשֶׁה אֶת-כָּל-הַמְּלָאכָה, וְהִנֵּה עָשׂוּ אֹתָהּ--כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה, כֵּן עָשׂוּ; וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם, מֹשֶׁה.
vayyar Moshe et kol hammela'khah vehinneh ashu otah ka'asher tzivvah YHWH ken ashu vayvarekh otam Moshe.
And Moses saw all the work, and, behold, they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, even so had they done it. And Moses blessed them.
