1.
וַיַּקְהֵל מֹשֶׁה, אֶת-כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל--וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם: אֵלֶּה, הַדְּבָרִים, אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה, לַעֲשֹׂת אֹתָם.
vayakhel Moshe, et-kol-adat bene Yisrael--vayomer alehem: elle, hadevarim, asher-tsivwah YHWH, la'asot otam.
And Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said unto them: 'These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.
2.
שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים, תֵּעָשֶׂה מְלָאכָה, וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי יִהְיֶה לָכֶם קֹדֶשׁ שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן, לַיהוָה; כָּל-הָעֹשֶׂה בוֹ מְלָאכָה, יוּמָת.
sheshet yamim, te'aseh melakhah, uvayom hashvi'i yihyeh lakhem kodesh shabbat Shabbaton, laYHWH; kol-ha'oseh bo melakhah, yumat.
Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of solemn rest to the LORD; whosoever doeth any work therein shall be put to death.
3.
לֹא-תְבַעֲרוּ אֵשׁ, בְּכֹל מֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם, בְּיוֹם, הַשַּׁבָּת.
lo-tva'aru esh, bekhol moshotekhem, beyom, hashabbat.
Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.'
4.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה, אֶל-כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר: זֶה הַדָּבָר, אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה לֵאמֹר.
vayomer Moshe, el-kol-adat bene-Yisrael lemor: zeh hadavar, asher-tzivwah YHWH lemor.
And Moses spoke unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: 'This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying:
5.
קְחוּ מֵאִתְּכֶם תְּרוּמָה, לַיהוָה, כֹּל נְדִיב לִבּוֹ, יְבִיאֶהָ אֵת תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה: זָהָב וָכֶסֶף, וּנְחֹשֶׁת.
kehu me'itkhem terumah, laYHWH, kol nediv libbo, yevi'eha et terumat YHWH: zahav vakhesefe, unkhoshet.
Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD, whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, the LORD'S offering: gold, and silver, and brass;
6.
וּתְכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי, וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּים.
utkhelet ve'argaman ve'tole'at shani, veshesh ve'izzim.
and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair;
7.
וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים וְעֹרֹת תְּחָשִׁים, וַעֲצֵי שִׁטִּים.
ve'orot eilim me'addamim ve'orot tekhashim, va'atzei shittim.
and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, and acacia-wood;
8.
וְשֶׁמֶן, לַמָּאוֹר; וּבְשָׂמִים לְשֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה, וְלִקְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים.
veshemen, lammo'or; uvesamim leshemen hamishchah, veliqtoret hassamim.
and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense;
9.
וְאַבְנֵי-שֹׁהַם--וְאַבְנֵי, מִלֻּאִים: לָאֵפוֹד, וְלַחֹשֶׁן.
ve'avnei-shoham--ve'avnei, millu'im: la'efod, velakhoshen.
and onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate.
10.
וְכָל-חֲכַם-לֵב, בָּכֶם, יָבֹאוּ וְיַעֲשׂוּ, אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה.
vekhol-khakham-lev, bakhem, yavo'u vaya'asu, et kol-asher tzivwah YHWH.
And let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded:
11.
אֶת-הַמִּשְׁכָּן--אֶת-אָהֳלוֹ, וְאֶת-מִכְסֵהוּ; אֶת-קְרָסָיו, וְאֶת-קְרָשָׁיו, אֶת-בְּרִיחָו, אֶת-עַמֻּדָיו וְאֶת-אֲדָנָיו.
'et-hammishkan--'et-'oholo, ve'et-mikhsehu; 'et-qerasav, ve'et-qerashav, 'et-berichav, 'et-'ammudav ve'et-'adanav.
the tabernacle, its tent, and its covering, its clasps, and its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets;
12.
אֶת-הָאָרֹן וְאֶת-בַּדָּיו, אֶת-הַכַּפֹּרֶת; וְאֵת, פָּרֹכֶת הַמָּסָךְ.
et-ha'aron ve'et-baddav, et-hakkapporet; ve'et, parokhet hammassakh.
the ark, and the staves thereof, the ark-cover, and the veil of the screen;
13.
אֶת-הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְאֶת-בַּדָּיו, וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו; וְאֵת, לֶחֶם הַפָּנִים.
et-hashulchan ve'et-baddav, ve'et-kol-kelav; ve'et, lekhem happanim.
the table, and its staves, and all its vessels, and the showbread;
14.
וְאֶת-מְנֹרַת הַמָּאוֹר וְאֶת-כֵּלֶיהָ, וְאֶת-נֵרֹתֶיהָ; וְאֵת, שֶׁמֶן הַמָּאוֹר.
ve'et-menorat hamma'or ve'et-keleha, ve'et-neroteha; ve'et, shemen hamma'or.
the candlestick also for the light, and its vessels, and its lamps, and the oil for the light;
15.
וְאֶת-מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת, וְאֶת-בַּדָּיו, וְאֵת שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה, וְאֵת קְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים; וְאֶת-מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח, לְפֶתַח הַמִּשְׁכָּן.
ve'et-mizbach hakketoret, ve'et-baddav, ve'et shemen ham mishchah, ve'et ketoret hassamim; ve'et-masakh happetach, lefetach hammishkan.
and the altar of incense, and its staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle;
16.
אֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה, וְאֶת-מִכְבַּר הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ, אֶת-בַּדָּיו, וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו; אֶת-הַכִּיֹּר, וְאֶת-כַּנּוֹ.
et mizbach ha'olah, ve'et-mikhbar hanchoshet asher-lo, et-baddav, ve'et-kol-kelav; et-hakkiyor, ve'et-kanno.
the altar of burnt-offering, with its grating of brass, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base;
17.
אֵת קַלְעֵי הֶחָצֵר, אֶת-עַמֻּדָיו וְאֶת-אֲדָנֶיהָ; וְאֵת, מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר.
et kal'ei hekhatzer, et-ammadav ve'et-adaneha; ve'et, masakh sha'ar hekhatzer.
the hangings of the court, the pillars thereof, and their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court;
18.
אֶת-יִתְדֹת הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֶת-יִתְדֹת הֶחָצֵר, וְאֶת-מֵיתְרֵיהֶם.
et-yitdot hammishkan ve'et-yitdot hekhatzer, ve'et-meiterehem.
the pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords;
19.
אֶת-בִּגְדֵי הַשְּׂרָד, לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ: אֶת-בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן, וְאֶת-בִּגְדֵי בָנָיו לְכַהֵן.
et-bigdei hashsrad, lesharet bakkodesh: et-bigdei hakkodesh le'Aharon hakohen, ve'et-bigdei banav lekhen.
the plaited garments, for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.'
20.
וַיֵּצְאוּ כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל, מִלִּפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה.
vayetze'u kol-adat bnei-Yisrael, millifnei Moshe.
And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.
21.
וַיָּבֹאוּ, כָּל-אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-נְשָׂאוֹ לִבּוֹ; וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר נָדְבָה רוּחוֹ אֹתוֹ, הֵבִיאוּ אֶת-תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה לִמְלֶאכֶת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּלְכָל-עֲבֹדָתוֹ, וּלְבִגְדֵי, הַקֹּדֶשׁ.
vayavo'u, kol-ish asher-nesa'o libo; vekhol asher nadavah rukho oto, hevi'u et-terumat YHWH limlekhet ohel mo'ed ulekhol-avodato, ulvigdei, hakkodesh.
And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and brought the LORD'S offering, for the work of the tent of meeting, and for all the service thereof, and for the holy garments.
22.
וַיָּבֹאוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים, עַל-הַנָּשִׁים; כֹּל נְדִיב לֵב, הֵבִיאוּ חָח וָנֶזֶם וְטַבַּעַת וְכוּמָז כָּל-כְּלִי זָהָב, וְכָל-אִישׁ, אֲשֶׁר הֵנִיף תְּנוּפַת זָהָב לַיהוָה.
vayavo'u ha'anashim, 'al-hannashim; kol nediv lev, hevi'u khakh vanezem vetaba'at vekhumaz kol-keli zahav, vekhal-ish, asher henif tenufat zahav laYHWH.
And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought nose-rings, and ear-rings, and signet-rings, and girdles, all jewels of gold; even every man that brought an offering of gold unto the LORD.
23.
וְכָל-אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-נִמְצָא אִתּוֹ, תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי--וְשֵׁשׁ וְעִזִּים; וְעֹרֹת אֵילִם מְאָדָּמִים וְעֹרֹת תְּחָשִׁים, הֵבִיאוּ.
vekhol-ish asher-nimtsa itto, tekhelet ve'argaman ve'tola'at shani--veshesh ve'ezim; ve'orot elim me'adamin ve'orot tekhashim, hevi'u.
And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, brought them.
24.
כָּל-מֵרִים, תְּרוּמַת כֶּסֶף וּנְחֹשֶׁת, הֵבִיאוּ, אֵת תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה; וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר נִמְצָא אִתּוֹ עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים, לְכָל-מְלֶאכֶת הָעֲבֹדָה--הֵבִיאוּ.
kol-merim, terumat kesef unchoshet, hevi'u, et terumat YHWH; vekhol asher nimtza ito atzei shittim, lekhol-melekhet ha'avoda--hevi'u.
Every one that did set apart an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD'S offering; and every man, with whom was found acacia-wood for any work of the service, brought it.
25.
וְכָל-אִשָּׁה חַכְמַת-לֵב, בְּיָדֶיהָ טָווּ; וַיָּבִיאוּ מַטְוֶה, אֶת-הַתְּכֵלֶת וְאֶת-הָאַרְגָּמָן, אֶת-תּוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי, וְאֶת-הַשֵּׁשׁ.
vekhol-ishshah khakhmat-lev, beyadeha tavvu; vayavi'u matveh, et-hattekhelet ve'et-ha'argaman, et-tola'at hashani, ve'et-hashesh.
And all the women that were wise-hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.
26.
וְכָל-הַנָּשִׁים--אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂא לִבָּן אֹתָנָה, בְּחָכְמָה: טָווּ, אֶת-הָעִזִּים.
vekhal-hannashim--asher nasa libban otanah, bekhochmah: tavu, et-ha'izzim.
And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats' hair.
27.
וְהַנְּשִׂאִם הֵבִיאוּ--אֵת אַבְנֵי הַשֹּׁהַם, וְאֵת אַבְנֵי הַמִּלֻּאִים: לָאֵפוֹד, וְלַחֹשֶׁן.
vehannesi'im hevi'u--et avnei hashoham, ve'et avnei hammillu'im: la'efod, velachoshen.
And the rulers brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;
28.
וְאֶת-הַבֹּשֶׂם, וְאֶת-הַשָּׁמֶן: לְמָאוֹר--וּלְשֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה, וְלִקְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים.
ve'et-haboshem, ve'et-hashamen: lema'or--uleshemen hammishchah, veliqtoret hassamim.
and the spice, and the oil, for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
29.
כָּל-אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה, אֲשֶׁר נָדַב לִבָּם אֹתָם, לְהָבִיא לְכָל-הַמְּלָאכָה, אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּיַד-מֹשֶׁה--הֵבִיאוּ בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל נְדָבָה, לַיהוָה.
kol-ish ve'ishah, asher nadav libam otam, lehavi lekhol-hamelakhah, asher tzivah YHWH la'asot beyad-Moshe--hevi'u venei-Yisrael nedavah, laYHWH.
The children of Israel brought a freewill-offering unto the LORD; every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all the work, which the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses to be made.
30.
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, רְאוּ קָרָא יְהוָה בְּשֵׁם, בְּצַלְאֵל בֶּן-אוּרִי בֶן-חוּר, לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה.
Vayomer Moshe el-bnei Yisrael, re'u kara YHWH beshem, Betzal'el ben-Uri ben-Chur, lematteh Yehudah.
And Moses said unto the children of Israel: 'See, the LORD hath called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
31.
וַיְמַלֵּא אֹתוֹ, רוּחַ אֱלֹהִים, בְּחָכְמָה בִּתְבוּנָה וּבְדַעַת, וּבְכָל-מְלָאכָה.
vaymalle oto, ruach Elohim, bekhochmah bitvunah uveda'at, uvakhol-melakhah.
And He hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.
32.
וְלַחְשֹׁב, מַחֲשָׁבֹת--לַעֲשֹׂת בַּזָּהָב וּבַכֶּסֶף, וּבַנְּחֹשֶׁת.
velakhshov, mahashavot--la'asot bazzahav uvakkhesef, uvannkhoshet.
And to devise skilful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
33.
וּבַחֲרֹשֶׁת אֶבֶן לְמַלֹּאת, וּבַחֲרֹשֶׁת עֵץ; לַעֲשׂוֹת, בְּכָל-מְלֶאכֶת מַחֲשָׁבֶת.
uvakharoshet even lemallot, uvakharoshet etz; la'asot, bekhol-melekhet makhashavet.
and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of skilful workmanship.
34.
וּלְהוֹרֹת, נָתַן בְּלִבּוֹ: הוּא, וְאָהֳלִיאָב בֶּן-אֲחִיסָמָךְ לְמַטֵּה-דָן.
ulehorot, natan belibo: hu, ve'oholi'av ben-achisamakh lematteh-dan.
And He hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35.
מִלֵּא אֹתָם חָכְמַת-לֵב, לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת חָרָשׁ וְחֹשֵׁב, וְרֹקֵם בַּתְּכֵלֶת וּבָאַרְגָּמָן בְּתוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי וּבַשֵּׁשׁ, וְאֹרֵג; עֹשֵׂי, כָּל-מְלָאכָה, וְחֹשְׁבֵי, מַחֲשָׁבֹת.
mille' otam khokhmat-lev, la'asot kol-melekhet kharash vekhoshev, verokem battekhelet uva'argaman betolat-hashani uvashesh, ve'oreg; 'osei, kol-melakhah, vekhoshevei, makhashavot.
Them hath He filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of workmanship, of the craftsman, and of the skilful workman, and of the weaver in colours, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any workmanship, and of those that devise skilful works.
