שִׁמְעוּ הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה, פָּרוֹת הַבָּשָׁן אֲשֶׁר בְּהַר שֹׁמְרוֹן, הָעֹשְׁקוֹת דַּלִּים, הָרֹצְצוֹת אֶבְיוֹנִים; הָאֹמְרֹת לַאֲדֹנֵיהֶם, הָבִיאָה וְנִשְׁתֶּה.

shim'u ha-davar hazeh parot ha-bashan asher be-har shomron, ha-oshkot dalim, ha-rotzechot evyonim, ha-omerot la-adonehem havi'ah ve-nishteh.

Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, that oppress the poor, that crush the needy, that say unto their lords: 'Bring, that we may feast.'

נִשְׁבַּע אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה בְּקָדְשׁוֹ, כִּי הִנֵּה יָמִים בָּאִים עֲלֵיכֶם; וְנִשָּׂא אֶתְכֶם בְּצִנּוֹת, וְאַחֲרִיתְכֶן בְּסִירוֹת דּוּגָה.

nishba Adonai YHWH be-kodsho, ki hineh yamim ba'im aleikhem, ve-nisa etkhem be-tzinot, ve-acharitkhen be-sirot dugah.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by His holiness: Lo, surely the days shall come upon you, that ye shall be taken away with hooks, and your residue with fish-hooks.

וּפְרָצִים תֵּצֶאנָה, אִשָּׁה נֶגְדָּהּ; וְהִשְׁלַכְתֶּנָה הַהַרְמוֹנָה, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

u'feratzim tetze'nah, ishah negdah; ve'hishlaktenah ha'armonah, ne'um-YHWH.

And ye shall go out at the breaches, every one straight before her; and ye shall be cast into Harmon, saith the LORD.

בֹּאוּ בֵית-אֵל וּפִשְׁעוּ, הַגִּלְגָּל הַרְבּוּ לִפְשֹׁעַ; וְהָבִיאוּ לַבֹּקֶר זִבְחֵיכֶם, לִשְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם.

bo'u beit-el u'fish'u, hagilgal harbu lifsho'a; ve'havi'u laboker zivcheichem, lishloshet yamim ma'sroteichem.

Come to Beth-el, and transgress, to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices in the morning, and your tithes after three days;

וְקַטֵּר מֵחָמֵץ תּוֹדָה, וְקִרְאוּ נְדָבוֹת הַשְׁמִיעוּ: כִּי כֵן אֲהַבְתֶּם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה.

ve'qater me'chametz todah, ve'qir'u nedavot hashmi'u: ki chen ahavtem benei yisrael, ne'um Adonai YHWH.

And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill-offerings and publish them; for so ye love to do, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

וְגַם-אֲנִי נָתַתִּי לָכֶם נִקְיוֹן שִׁנַּיִם, בְּכָל-עָרֵיכֶם, וְחֹסֶר לֶחֶם, בְּכֹל מְקוֹמֹתֵיכֶם; וְלֹא-שַׁבְתֶּם עָדַי, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

ve'gam-ani natati lachem niqyon shinnayim, bechol-areichem, ve'choser lechem, bechol meqomoteichem; ve'lo-shavtem adai, ne'um-YHWH.

And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.

וְגַם אָנֹכִי מָנַעְתִּי מִכֶּם אֶת-הַגֶּשֶׁם, בְּעוֹד שְׁלֹשָׁה חֳדָשִׁים לַקָּצִיר, וְהִמְטַרְתִּי עַל-עִיר אֶחָת, וְעַל-עִיר אַחַת לֹא אַמְטִיר; חֶלְקָה אַחַת תִּמָּטֵר, וְחֶלְקָה אֲשֶׁר-לֹא-תַמְטִיר עָלֶיהָ תִּיבָשׁ.

ve'gam anokhi mana'ti mikem et-hageshem, be'od sheloshah chodashim lakatzir, vehimtartiy al-ir achat, ve'al-ir achat lo amtir; chelka achat timater, vechelka asher-lo-tamtir aleiha tivash.

And I also have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city; one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

וְנָעוּ שְׁתַּיִם שָׁלֹשׁ עָרִים אֶל-עִיר אַחַת, לִשְׁתּוֹת מַיִם--וְלֹא יִשְׂבָּעוּ; וְלֹא-שַׁבְתֶּם עָדַי, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

venau shetayim shalosh arim el-ir achat, lishtot mayim--velo yisba'u; velo-shavtem adai, neum-YHWH.

So two or three cities wandered unto one city to drink water, and were not satisfied; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.

הִכֵּיתִי אֶתְכֶם, בַּשִּׁדָּפוֹן וּבַיֵּרָקוֹן--הַרְבּוֹת גַּנּוֹתֵיכֶם וְכַרְמֵיכֶם וּתְאֵנֵיכֶם וְזֵיתֵיכֶם, יֹאכַל הַגָּזָם; וְלֹא-שַׁבְתֶּם עָדַי, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

hikeiti etchem, bashidafon uve'yerakon--harbot ganoteichem vekarmeichem ute'eneichem vezeiteichem, yokhal hagazam; velo-shavtem adai, neum-YHWH.

I have smitten you with blasting and mildew; the multitude of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees hath the palmer-worm devoured; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.

10.

שִׁלַּחְתִּי בָכֶם דֶּבֶר, בְּדֶרֶךְ מִצְרַיִם--הָרַגְתִּי בַחֶרֶב בַּחוּרֵיכֶם, עִם שְׁבִי סוּסֵיכֶם; וָאַעֲלֶה בְּאֹשׁ מַחֲנֵיכֶם, וּבְאַפְּכֶם, וְלֹא-שַׁבְתֶּם עָדַי, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

shilachtiy vachem dever, bederekh mitzrayim--haragti vacherev bachureichem, im shevi suseichem; va'aleh be'osh machaneichem, uve'apfeichem, velo-shavtem adai, neum-YHWH.

I have sent among you the pestilence in the way of Egypt; your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.

11.

הָפַכְתִּי בָכֶם, כְּמַהְפֵּכַת אֱלֹהִים אֶת-סְדֹם וְאֶת-עֲמֹרָה, וַתִּהְיוּ, כְּאוּד מֻצָּל מִשְּׂרֵפָה; וְלֹא-שַׁבְתֶּם עָדַי, נְאֻם-יְהוָה.

hafakh-ti vakhem, kemahpekhat Elohim et-Sedom ve'et 'Amorah, vatih-yu, ke'ud mutzal misrefah; velo-shavtem 'adai, neum-YHWH.

I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet have ye not returned unto Me, saith the LORD.

12.

לָכֵן, כֹּה אֶעֱשֶׂה-לְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל: עֵקֶב כִּי-זֹאת אֶעֱשֶׂה-לָּךְ, הִכּוֹן לִקְרַאת-אֱלֹהֶיךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל.

lakhen, koh e'eseh-lekha Yisrael: ekev ki-zot e'eseh-lakh, hikon likrat-Elohekha Yisrael.

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel; because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

13.

כִּי הִנֵּה יוֹצֵר הָרִים וּבֹרֵא רוּחַ, וּמַגִּיד לְאָדָם מַה-שֵּׂחוֹ, עֹשֵׂה שַׁחַר עֵיפָה, וְדֹרֵךְ עַל-בָּמֳתֵי אָרֶץ--יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי-צְבָאוֹת, שְׁמוֹ.

ki hineh yotzer harim uvore ruach, umagid le'adam mah-sehokw, oseh shahar eyfah, veDorekh al-bamotey aretz--YHWH Elohey-tzevaot, shemo.

For, lo, He that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth; the LORD, the God of hosts, is His name.
