אָנָה הָלַךְ דּוֹדֵךְ, הַיָּפָה בַּנָּשִׁים; אָנָה פָּנָה דוֹדֵךְ, וּנְבַקְשֶׁנּוּ עִמָּךְ.
anah halakh dodiha hayafah bannashim anah panah dodiha unveqShennu immakh.
'Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? Whither hath thy beloved turned him, that we may seek him with thee?'
2.
דּוֹדִי יָרַד לְגַנּוֹ, לַעֲרֻגוֹת הַבֹּשֶׂם--לִרְעוֹת, בַּגַּנִּים, וְלִלְקֹט, שׁוֹשַׁנִּים.
dodi yarad legano la'arugot habosem lir'ot bagannim velilqot shoshannim.
'My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

אֲנִי לְדוֹדִי וְדוֹדִי לִי, הָרֹעֶה בַּשּׁוֹשַׁנִּים.
ani ledodi vdodi li haro'eh bashoshannim.
I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine, that feedeth among the lilies.'
4.
יָפָה אַתְּ רַעְיָתִי כְּתִרְצָה, נָאוָה כִּירוּשָׁלִָם; אֲיֻמָּה, כַּנִּדְגָּלוֹת.
Yafah at ra'yati k'tirtzah, navah kirushalyim; ayumah, kanidgalot.
Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.
5.
הָסֵבִּי עֵינַיִךְ מִנֶּגְדִּי, שֶׁהֵם הִרְהִיבֻנִי; שַׂעְרֵךְ כְּעֵדֶר הָעִזִּים, שֶׁגָּלְשׁוּ מִן-הַגִּלְעָד.
Hasebi einayich minnegdi, shehem hirhivuni; sa'rech k'eeder ha'izzim, shegalshu min-hagil'ad.
Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, that trail down from Gilead.

שִׁנַּיִךְ כְּעֵדֶר הָרְחֵלִים, שֶׁעָלוּ מִן-הָרַחְצָה: שֶׁכֻּלָּם, מַתְאִימוֹת, וְשַׁכֻּלָה, אֵין בָּהֶם.
Shinnayich k'eeder harchelim, she'alu min-harachtzah: shekullam, mat'imot, veshakkulah, ein bahem.
Thy teeth are like a flock of ewes, which are come up from the washing; whereof all are paired, and none faileth among them.
7.
כְּפֶלַח הָרִמּוֹן רַקָּתֵךְ, מִבַּעַד לְצַמָּתֵךְ.
K'felach harimmon raqqatech, mibba'ad l'tzammatech.
Thy temples are like a pomegranate split open behind thy veil.
8.
שִׁשִּׁים הֵמָּה מְלָכוֹת, וּשְׁמֹנִים פִּילַגְשִׁים; וַעֲלָמוֹת, אֵין מִסְפָּר.
shishim hemmah melakhot, ushemonim pilagshim; va'alamot, ein mispar.
There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and maidens without number.
9.
אַחַת הִיא, יוֹנָתִי תַמָּתִי--אַחַת הִיא לְאִמָּהּ, בָּרָה הִיא לְיוֹלַדְתָּהּ; רָאוּהָ בָנוֹת וַיְאַשְּׁרוּהָ, מְלָכוֹת וּפִילַגְשִׁים וַיְהַלְלוּהָ.
achat hi, yonati tammati--achat hi le'imah, barah hi leyoldattah; ra'uha banot vay'ashsheruha, melakhot upilagshim vay'haleluha.
My dove, my undefiled, is but one; she is the only one of her mother; she is the choice one of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her happy; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

מִי-זֹאת הַנִּשְׁקָפָה, כְּמוֹ-שָׁחַר: יָפָה כַלְּבָנָה, בָּרָה כַּחַמָּה--אֲיֻמָּה, כַּנִּדְגָּלוֹת.
mi-zot hannishqafah, kemo-shachar: yafah khalevanah, barah kakhamah--ayumah, kannidgalot.
Who is she that looketh forth as the dawn, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, terrible as an army with banners?
11.
אֶל-גִּנַּת אֱגוֹז יָרַדְתִּי, לִרְאוֹת בְּאִבֵּי הַנָּחַל; לִרְאוֹת הֲפָרְחָה הַגֶּפֶן, הֵנֵצוּ הָרִמֹּנִים.
el-ginnat egoz yardatti, lir'ot be'ibbei hannachal; lir'ot hefarefah hagenef, henetsu harimmonim.
I went down into the garden of nuts, to look at the green plants of the valley, to see whether the vine budded, and the pomegranates were in flower.
12.
לֹא יָדַעְתִּי--נַפְשִׁי שָׂמַתְנִי, מַרְכְּבוֹת עַמִּי נָדִיב.
lo yada'ti nafshi samatni markevot 'ammi nadiv.
Before I was aware, my soul set me upon the chariots of my princely people.
