רָצִיתָ יְהוָה אַרְצֶךָ; שַׁבְתָּ, שבות שְׁבִית יַעֲקֹב.
ratzita Adonai artzekha; shavta, shvut shv'it Ya'akov.
LORD, Thou hast been favourable unto Thy land, Thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob.
3.
נָשָׂאתָ, עֲוֺן עַמֶּךָ; כִּסִּיתָ כָל-חַטָּאתָם סֶלָה.
nasata, avon amekha; kisita khol-khatatam selah.
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast pardoned all their sin. Selah
4.
אָסַפְתָּ כָל-עֶבְרָתֶךָ; הֱשִׁיבוֹתָ, מֵחֲרוֹן אַפֶּךָ.
asafta khol-evratekha; heshivota, mekharon apekha.
Thou hast withdrawn all Thy wrath; Thou hast turned from the fierceness of Thine anger.
5.
שׁוּבֵנוּ, אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ; וְהָפֵר כַּעַסְךָ עִמָּנוּ.
shuvenu, elohei yis'enu; vehafer ka'askha imanu.
Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Thine indignation toward us to cease.
6.
הַלְעוֹלָם תֶּאֱנַף-בָּנוּ; תִּמְשֹׁךְ אַפְּךָ, לְדֹר וָדֹר.
hal'olam te'enaf-banu; timshok apkha, ledor vador.
Wilt Thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt Thou draw out Thine anger to all generations?
7.
הֲלֹא-אַתָּה, תָּשׁוּב תְּחַיֵּנוּ; וְעַמְּךָ, יִשְׂמְחוּ-בָךְ.
halo-atah, tashuv tekhayenu; ve'amkha, yis'mkhu-vakh.
Wilt Thou not quicken us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?
8.
הַרְאֵנוּ יְהוָה חַסְדֶּךָ; וְיֶשְׁעֲךָ, תִּתֶּן-לָנוּ.
Har'enu YHWH chasdecha; veyeshecha, titten-lanu.
Show us Thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us Thy salvation.
9.
אֶשְׁמְעָה-- מַה-יְדַבֵּר, הָאֵל יְהוָה:כִּי, יְדַבֵּר שָׁלוֹם--אֶל-עַמּוֹ וְאֶל-חֲסִידָיו; וְאַל-יָשׁוּבוּ לְכִסְלָה.
Eshme'ah-- mah-yedabber, ha'el YHWH: ki, yedabber shalom--el-ammo ve'el-chasidav; ve'al-yashuvu lechislah.
I will hear what God the LORD will speak; for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.
10.
אַךְ קָרוֹב לִירֵאָיו יִשְׁעוֹ; לִשְׁכֹּן כָּבוֹד בְּאַרְצֵנוּ.
Ach karov lire'av yisho; lishkon kavod be'artzenu.
Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land.
11.
חֶסֶד-וֶאֱמֶת נִפְגָּשׁוּ; צֶדֶק וְשָׁלוֹם נָשָׁקוּ.
Chesed-ve'emet nifgashu; tzedek veshalom nashaku.
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
12.
אֱמֶת, מֵאֶרֶץ תִּצְמָח; וְצֶדֶק, מִשָּׁמַיִם נִשְׁקָף.
emet, me'eretz titzmakh; vetzedek, mishamayim nishkaf.
Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.
13.
גַּם-יְהוָה, יִתֵּן הַטּוֹב; וְאַרְצֵנוּ, תִּתֵּן יְבוּלָהּ.
gam-YHWH, yiten hatov; ve'artzenu, titen yevulah.
Yea, the LORD will give that which is good; and our land shall yield her produce.
14.
צֶדֶק, לְפָנָיו יְהַלֵּךְ; וְיָשֵׂם לְדֶרֶךְ פְּעָמָיו.
tzedek, lefanayiv yehalekh; veyasem lederekh pe'amiv.
Righteousness shall go before Him, and shall make His footsteps a way.
