לַמְנַצֵּחַ אֶל-שֹׁשַׁנִּים; עֵדוּת לְאָסָף מִזְמוֹר.
lamnatze'ach el-shoshannim edut le'asaf mizmor.
For the Leader; upon Shoshannim. A testimony. A Psalm of Asaph.
2.
רֹעֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, הַאֲזִינָה-- נֹהֵג כַּצֹּאן יוֹסֵף;יֹשֵׁב הַכְּרוּבִים הוֹפִיעָה.
ro'eh yisrael ha'azinah noheג katzon yosef yoshev hakeruvim hofia'a.
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.

לִפְנֵי אֶפְרַיִם, וּבִנְיָמִן וּמְנַשֶּׁה-- עוֹרְרָה אֶת-גְּבוּרָתֶךָ;וּלְכָה לִישֻׁעָתָה לָּנוּ.
lifnei efrayim uvinjamin umenasheh orerah et-gevuratekha ulekha lishu'atah lanu.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Thy might, and come to save us.
4.
אֱלֹהִים הֲשִׁיבֵנוּ; וְהָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ, וְנִוָּשֵׁעָה.
elohim hashivenu veha'er panekha venivashe'ah.
O God, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
5.
יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת-- עַד-מָתַי עָשַׁנְתָּ, בִּתְפִלַּת עַמֶּךָ.
Adonai Elohim Tzevaot -- ad-matay ashenta, bitfilat amekha.
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt Thou be angry against the prayer of Thy people?
6.
הֶאֱכַלְתָּם, לֶחֶם דִּמְעָה; וַתַּשְׁקֵמוֹ, בִּדְמָעוֹת שָׁלִישׁ.
he'akhaltam, lehem dim'ah; vatashkemo, bidma'ot shalish.
Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
7.
תְּשִׂימֵנוּ מָדוֹן, לִשְׁכֵנֵינוּ; וְאֹיְבֵינוּ, יִלְעֲגוּ-לָמוֹ.
tesimenu madon, lishkeneinu; ve'oyveinu, yil'agu-lamo.
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours; and our enemies mock as they please.
8.
אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת הֲשִׁיבֵנוּ; וְהָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ, וְנִוָּשֵׁעָה.
Elohim Tzevaot hashivenu; veha'er panekha, venivashe'ah.
O God of hosts, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
9.
גֶּפֶן, מִמִּצְרַיִם תַּסִּיעַ; תְּגָרֵשׁ גּוֹיִם, וַתִּטָּעֶהָ.
gefen, mimitzrayim tasi'a; tevaresh goyim, vatita'eha.
Thou didst pluck up a vine out of Egypt; Thou didst drive out the nations, and didst plant it.
10.
פִּנִּיתָ לְפָנֶיהָ; וַתַּשְׁרֵשׁ שָׁרָשֶׁיהָ, וַתְּמַלֵּא-אָרֶץ.
pinnita lefaneha; vateshresh shoresheha, vatemale-aretz.
Thou didst clear a place before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land.
11.
כָּסּוּ הָרִים צִלָּהּ; וַעֲנָפֶיהָ, אַרְזֵי-אֵל.
kassu harim tzilla'h; va'anafeha, arzei-el.
The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the mighty cedars with the boughs thereof.
12.
תְּשַׁלַּח קְצִירֶהָ עַד-יָם; וְאֶל-נָהָר, יוֹנְקוֹתֶיהָ.
teshalach kצireha ad-yam; ve'el-nahar, yonkoteha.
She sent out her branches unto the sea, and her shoots unto the River.
13.
לָמָּה, פָּרַצְתָּ גְדֵרֶיהָ; וְאָרוּהָ, כָּל-עֹבְרֵי דָרֶךְ.
lamah, paratzta gederelah; ve'aruh, kol-ovrei darekh.
Why hast Thou broken down her fences, so that all they that pass by the way do pluck her?
14.
יְכַרְסְמֶנָּה חֲזִיר מִיָּעַר; וְזִיז שָׂדַי יִרְעֶנָּה.
yekar'smenah khazir miya'ar; ve'ziz saday yir'enah.
The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, that which moveth in the field feedeth on it.
15.
אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת, שׁוּב-נָא:הַבֵּט מִשָּׁמַיִם וּרְאֵה; וּפְקֹד, גֶּפֶן זֹאת.
Elohim tzeva'ot, shuv-na: habet mishamayim ure'eh; ufeqod, gefen zot.
O God of hosts, return, we beseech Thee; look from heaven, and behold, and be mindful of this vine,
16.
וְכַנָּה, אֲשֶׁר-נָטְעָה יְמִינֶךָ; וְעַל-בֵּן, אִמַּצְתָּה לָּךְ.
ve'kannah, asher-nata'ah yeminekha; ve'al-ben, imatzta lakh.
And of the stock which Thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that Thou madest strong for Thyself.
17.
שְׂרֻפָה בָאֵשׁ כְּסוּחָה; מִגַּעֲרַת פָּנֶיךָ יֹאבֵדוּ.
serufah va'esh kesuchah migga'arat panekha yo'vedu.
It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Thy countenance.
18.
תְּהִי-יָדְךָ, עַל-אִישׁ יְמִינֶךָ; עַל-בֶּן-אָדָם, אִמַּצְתָּ לָּךְ.
tehi-yadkha al-ish yeminekha al-ben-adam immats-ta lakh.
Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself.
19.
וְלֹא-נָסוֹג מִמֶּךָּ; תְּחַיֵּנוּ, וּבְשִׁמְךָ נִקְרָא.
velo-nasog mimeka tkhayenu uvshimkha nikra.
So shall we not turn back from Thee; quicken Thou us, and we will call upon Thy name.
20.
יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים צְבָאוֹת הֲשִׁיבֵנוּ; הָאֵר פָּנֶיךָ, וְנִוָּשֵׁעָה.
YHWH Elohim Tseva'ot hashivenu ha'er panekha venivashe'ah.
O LORD God of hosts, restore us; cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
