גָּדוֹל יְהוָה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד-- בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ, הַר-קָדְשׁוֹ.
gadol YHWH umehullal me'od be'ir eloheinu har kodsho.
Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain,

יְפֵה נוֹף, מְשׂוֹשׂ כָּל-הָאָרֶץ:הַר-צִיּוֹן, יַרְכְּתֵי צָפוֹן; קִרְיַת, מֶלֶךְ רָב.
yfe nof mesos kol ha'aretz har Tziyon yarketei tzafon kiryat melekh rav.
Fair in situation, the joy of the whole earth; even mount Zion, the uttermost parts of the north, the city of the great King.

אֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ, נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּב.
Elohim be'armenoteiha, noda lemisgav.
God in her palaces hath made Himself known for a stronghold.
5.
כִּי-הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים, נוֹעֲדוּ; עָבְרוּ יַחְדָּו.
ki-hineh hamelakhim, no'adu; avru yakhdav.
For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they came onward together.
6.
הֵמָּה רָאוּ, כֵּן תָּמָהוּ; נִבְהֲלוּ נֶחְפָּזוּ.
hemmah ra'u, ken tamahu; nivhalu nekhafazu.
They saw, straightway they were amazed; they were affrighted, they hasted away.
7.
רְעָדָה, אֲחָזָתַם שָׁם; חִיל, כַּיּוֹלֵדָה.
re'adah, akhazatam sham; khil, kayyoledah.
Trembling took hold of them there, pangs, as of a woman in travail.
8.
בְּרוּחַ קָדִים-- תְּשַׁבֵּר, אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ.
beru'ach kadim-- teshabe'r, oniyot tarshish.
With the east wind Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish.
9.
כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְנוּ, כֵּן רָאִינוּ--בְּעִיר-יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת, בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ:אֱלֹהִים יְכוֹנְנֶהָ עַד-עוֹלָם סֶלָה.
ka'asher shama'nu, ken ra'inu--be'ir-YHWH tseva'ot, be'ir Eloheinu:Elohim yekhoneneha ad-olam selah.
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God-- God establish it for ever. Selah

דִּמִּינוּ אֱלֹהִים חַסְדֶּךָ-- בְּקֶרֶב, הֵיכָלֶךָ.
diminu Elohim chasdeka-- beqerev, heykhaleka.
We have thought on Thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple.
11.
כְּשִׁמְךָ אֱלֹהִים-- כֵּן תְּהִלָּתְךָ, עַל-קַצְוֵי-אֶרֶץ;צֶדֶק, מָלְאָה יְמִינֶךָ.
keshimkha Elohim-- ken tehilatekha, al-khatsvei-erets; tsedek, male'ah yeminekha.
As is Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.
12.
יִשְׂמַח, הַר צִיּוֹן--תָּגֵלְנָה, בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה: לְמַעַן, מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ.
Yismach har Tziyon tagelna benot Yehuda lema'an mishpateykha
Let mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of Thy judgments.
13.
סֹבּוּ צִיּוֹן, וְהַקִּיפוּהָ; סִפְרוּ, מִגְדָּלֶיהָ.
Sobbu Tziyon vehakifuka sifru migdaleyha
Walk about Zion, and go round about her; count the towers thereof.
14.
שִׁיתוּ לִבְּכֶם, לְחֵילָה--פַּסְּגוּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ: לְמַעַן תְּסַפְּרוּ, לְדוֹר אַחֲרוֹן.
Shitu libvekhem leheila passegu armoneyha lema'an tesaperu ledor acharon
Mark ye well her ramparts, traverse her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
15.
כִּי זֶה, אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵינוּ--עוֹלָם וָעֶד; הוּא יְנַהֲגֵנוּ עַל-מוּת.
Ki zeh Elohim Eloheynu olam va'ed hu yenahagenu al mut
For such is God, our God, for ever and ever; He will guide us eternally.
