שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת, לְדָוִד:יְהוָה, לֹא-גָבַהּ לִבִּי-- וְלֹא-רָמוּ עֵינַי;וְלֹא-הִלַּכְתִּי, בִּגְדֹלוֹת וּבְנִפְלָאוֹת מִמֶּנִּי.
Shir hama'alot, ledavid: YHWH, lo-gavah libi-- velo-ramu einay; velo-hilakti, bigdolot uveniflaot mimeni.
A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in things too great, or in things too wonderful for me.
2.
אִם-לֹא שִׁוִּיתִי, וְדוֹמַמְתִּי-- נַפְשִׁי:כְּגָמֻל, עֲלֵי אִמּוֹ; כַּגָּמֻל עָלַי נַפְשִׁי.
Im-lo shiviti, vodomanti-- nafshi: kegamul, alei immo; kagamul alay nafshi.
Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother; my soul is with me like a weaned child.
3.
יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֶל-יְהוָה-- מֵעַתָּה, וְעַד-עוֹלָם.
Yachel Yisrael, el-YHWH-- me'atah, ve'ad-olam.
O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for ever.
