אֲדֹנָי, שִׁמְעָה בְקוֹלִי:תִּהְיֶינָה אָזְנֶיךָ, קַשֻּׁבוֹת-- לְקוֹל, תַּחֲנוּנָי.
Adonai, shim'ah vekoli: tihyeynah oznekikh, kashshutov-- lekool, takhanunay.
Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3.
אִם-עֲוֺנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר-יָהּ-- אֲדֹנָי, מִי יַעֲמֹד.
Im-avonot tishmar-yah, adonai, mi ya'amod.
If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4.
כִּי-עִמְּךָ הַסְּלִיחָה-- לְמַעַן, תִּוָּרֵא.
Ki-immekha hasselikha, lema'an tivvare.
For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.
5.
קִוִּיתִי יְהוָה, קִוְּתָה נַפְשִׁי; וְלִדְבָרוֹ הוֹחָלְתִּי.
Kivviti YHWH, kivveta nafshi, velidvaro hokhalti.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
6.
נַפְשִׁי לַאדֹנָי-- מִשֹּׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר, שֹׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר.
Nafshi ladonai, mishomrim labboker, shomrim labboker.
My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.
7.
יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֶל-יְהוָה: כִּי-עִם-יְהוָה הַחֶסֶד; וְהַרְבֵּה עִמּוֹ פְדוּת.
Yakhel Yisrael, el-YHWH: ki-im-YHWH hakhesed; veharbeh immo fedut.
O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
8.
וְהוּא, יִפְדֶּה אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל-- מִכֹּל, עֲוֺנֹתָיו.
Vehou, yifdeh et-Yisrael-- mikol, avonotav.
And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
