1.
לֹא לָנוּ יְהוָה, לֹא-לָנוּ: כִּי-לְשִׁמְךָ, תֵּן כָּבוֹד--עַל-חַסְדְּךָ, עַל-אֲמִתֶּךָ.
Lo lanu YHWH, lo-lanu: ki-leshimkha, ten kavod--al-hasdekha, al-amitekha.
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
2.
לָמָּה, יֹאמְרוּ הַגּוֹיִם: אַיֵּה-נָא, אֱלֹהֵיהֶם.
Lamma, yomru haggoyim: ayyeh-na, Elohem.
Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
3.
וֵאלֹהֵינוּ בַשָּׁמָיִם-- כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-חָפֵץ עָשָׂה.
Ve'eloheynu vashamayim-- kol asher-khafetz asah.
But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
4.
עֲצַבֵּיהֶם, כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב; מַעֲשֵׂה, יְדֵי אָדָם.
Atzabehem, kesef vezahav; ma'aseh, yede adam.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5.
פֶּה-לָהֶם, וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ; עֵינַיִם לָהֶם, וְלֹא יִרְאוּ.
peh lahem, velo yedaberu; einayim lahem, velo yir'u.
They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
6.
אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם, וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ; אַף לָהֶם, וְלֹא יְרִיחוּן.
oznayim lahem, velo yishma'u; af lahem, velo yerikhun.
They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;
7.
יְדֵיהֶם, וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן--רַגְלֵיהֶם, וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ; לֹא-יֶהְגּוּ, בִּגְרוֹנָם.
yedeihem, velo yemishun--ragleihem, velo yehalechu; lo-yehgu, bigronam.
They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.
8.
כְּמוֹהֶם, יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם-- כֹּל אֲשֶׁר-בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶם.
kemohem, yihiyu oseihem--kol asher-boteach bahem.
They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
9.
יִשְׂרָאֵל, בְּטַח בַּיהוָה; עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא.
Yisrael, betach baAdonai; ezram umaginnam hu.
O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
10.
בֵּית אַהֲרֹן, בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה; עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא.
Beit Aharon, bitchu baAdonai; ezram umaginnam hu.
O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
11.
יִרְאֵי יְהוָה, בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה; עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הוּא.
Yirei Adonai, bitchu baAdonai; ezram umaginnam hu.
Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
12.
יְהוָה, זְכָרָנוּ יְבָרֵךְ:יְבָרֵךְ, אֶת-בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל; יְבָרֵךְ, אֶת-בֵּית אַהֲרֹן.
Adonai, zekaranu yevarech; yevarech, et-beit Yisrael; yevarech, et-beit Aharon.
The LORD hath been mindful of us, He will bless-- He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.
13.
יְבָרֵךְ, יִרְאֵי יְהוָה-- הַקְּטַנִּים, עִם-הַגְּדֹלִים.
yevarekhet, yir'ei YHWH-- haqqetannim, im-hagedolim.
He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.
14.
יֹסֵף יְהוָה עֲלֵיכֶם; עֲלֵיכֶם, וְעַל בְּנֵיכֶם.
yosef YHWH alekhem; alekhem, ve'al beneikhem.
The LORD increase you more and more, you and your children.
15.
בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם, לַיהוָה-- עֹשֵׂה, שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ.
berukhim attem, laYHWH-- oseh, shamayim va'aretz.
Blessed be ye of the LORD who made heaven and earth.
16.
הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם, לַיהוָה; וְהָאָרֶץ, נָתַן לִבְנֵי-אָדָם.
hashamayim shamayim, laYHWH; veha'aretz, natan livnei-adam.
The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
17.
לֹא הַמֵּתִים, יְהַלְלוּ-יָהּ; וְלֹא, כָּל-יֹרְדֵי דוּמָה.
Lo hametim, yehalelu-yah; velo, kol-yorede dumah.
The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence;
18.
וַאֲנַחְנוּ, נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ-- מֵעַתָּה וְעַד-עוֹלָם:הַלְלוּ-יָהּ.
Va'anahnu, nevarekh yah-- me'atah ve'ad-olam: halelu-yah.
But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
