בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל, מִמִּצְרָיִם; בֵּית יַעֲקֹב, מֵעַם לֹעֵז.
betzet Yisrael, mimmitzrayim; beit Ya'akov, me'am lo'ez.

הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקָדְשׁוֹ; יִשְׂרָאֵל, מַמְשְׁלוֹתָיו.
haytah Yehuda l<bos>20002lkadsho; Yisrael, mamshulotav.
Judah became His sanctuary, Israel His dominion.

הַיָּם רָאָה, וַיָּנֹס; הַיַּרְדֵּן, יִסֹּב לְאָחוֹר.
hayam ra'ah, vayanos; hayarden, yisov le'ahor.
The sea saw it, and fled; the Jordan turned backward.
4.
הֶהָרִים, רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים; גְּבָעוֹת, כִּבְנֵי-צֹאן.
heharim, rakdu khe'elim; geva'ot, kivnei-tzon.
The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep.
5.
מַה-לְּךָ הַיָּם, כִּי תָנוּס; הַיַּרְדֵּן, תִּסֹּב לְאָחוֹר.
mah-leka hayam, ki tanus; hayarden, tisov le'achor.
What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest backward?

הֶהָרִים, תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים; גְּבָעוֹת, כִּבְנֵי-צֹאן.
heharim, tirkedu khe'ilim; geva'ot, kivnei-tzon.
Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye hills, like young sheep?
7.
מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן, חוּלִי אָרֶץ; מִלִּפְנֵי, אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹב.
milifnei adon, khuli aretz; milifnei, eloha ya'akov.
Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8.
הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם-מָיִם; חַלָּמִישׁ, לְמַעְיְנוֹ-מָיִם.
hhofkhi hatzur agam-mayim; khallamish, lema'yeno-mayim.
Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
