1.
לַמְנַצֵּחַ, לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר:אֱלֹהֵי תְהִלָּתִי, אַל-תֶּחֱרַשׁ.
lamnatseakh, ledavid mizmor: Elohei tehilati, al-tekherash.
For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, keep not silence;
2.
כִּי פִי רָשָׁע, וּפִי-מִרְמָה--עָלַי פָּתָחוּ; דִּבְּרוּ אִתִּי, לְשׁוֹן שָׁקֶר.
ki fi rasha, ufi-mirmah--alay patakhu; dibru iti, leshon shaker.
For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.
3.
וְדִבְרֵי שִׂנְאָה סְבָבוּנִי; וַיִּלָּחֲמוּנִי חִנָּם.
vedivrei sin'ah sevavuni; vayillakhumuni khinnam.
They compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4.
תַּחַת-אַהֲבָתִי יִשְׂטְנוּנִי; וַאֲנִי תְפִלָּה.
takhat-ahavati yis'tenuni; va'ani tefillah.
In return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer.
5.
וַיָּשִׂימוּ עָלַי רָעָה, תַּחַת טוֹבָה; וְשִׂנְאָה, תַּחַת אַהֲבָתִי.
vayyasimu alay ra'ah, takhat tovah; vesin'ah, takhat ahavati.
And they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love:

הַפְקֵד עָלָיו רָשָׁע; וְשָׂטָן, יַעֲמֹד עַל-יְמִינוֹ.
hafked alayv rashaf; vesatan, ya'amod al-yemino.
'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7.
בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ, יֵצֵא רָשָׁע; וּתְפִלָּתוֹ, תִּהְיֶה לַחֲטָאָה.
behishafeto, yetze rashah; utefillato, tihyeh lakhat'ah.
When he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin.
8.
יִהְיוּ-יָמָיו מְעַטִּים; פְּקֻדָּתוֹ, יִקַּח אַחֵר.
yihyu-yamav me'atim; pekudato, yikach acher.
Let his days be few; let another take his charge.
9.
יִהְיוּ-בָנָיו יְתוֹמִים; וְאִשְׁתּוֹ, אַלְמָנָה.
yihyu-banav yetomim; ve'ishto, almanah.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10.
וְנוֹעַ יָנוּעוּ בָנָיו וְשִׁאֵלוּ; וְדָרְשׁוּ, מֵחָרְבוֹתֵיהֶם.
veno'a yanuku banav vesh'elu; vedarshu, mecharvotehem.
Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.
11.
יְנַקֵּשׁ נוֹשֶׁה, לְכָל-אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ; וְיָבֹזּוּ זָרִים יְגִיעוֹ.
yenakeshe nosheh, lekhal-asher-lo; veyavozu zarim yigio.
Let the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour.
12.
אַל-יְהִי-לוֹ, מֹשֵׁךְ חָסֶד; וְאַל-יְהִי חוֹנֵן, לִיתוֹמָיו.
al-yehi-lo, moshekh khased; ve'al-yehi khonen, litomav.
Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children.
13.
יְהִי-אַחֲרִיתוֹ לְהַכְרִית; בְּדוֹר אַחֵר, יִמַּח שְׁמָם.
yehi-akharito lekharit; bedor akher, yimakh shemam.
Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14.
יִזָּכֵר, עֲוֺן אֲבֹתָיו--אֶל-יְהוָה; וְחַטַּאת אִמּוֹ, אַל-תִּמָּח.
yizzakher, avon avotav--el-YHWH; vekhattat imo, al-timakh.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15.
יִהְיוּ נֶגֶד-יְהוָה תָּמִיד; וְיַכְרֵת מֵאֶרֶץ זִכְרָם.
yihyu neged-YHWH tamid; veyakkheret me'eretz zikhram.
Let them be before the LORD continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16.
יַעַן-- אֲשֶׁר לֹא זָכַר, עֲשׂוֹת חָסֶד:וַיִּרְדֹּף, אִישׁ-עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן--וְנִכְאֵה לֵבָב; לְמוֹתֵת.
ya'an asher lo zakhar ashot khased vayirdof ish-ani ve'evyon venikh'eh levav lemotet.
Because that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay.
17.
וַיֶּאֱהַב קְלָלָה, וַתְּבוֹאֵהוּ; וְלֹא-חָפֵץ בִּבְרָכָה, וַתִּרְחַק מִמֶּנּוּ.
vayye'ehav kelalah vattevo'ehu velo-khafetz bivrakhah vattirkhaq mimennu.
Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him.
18.
וַיִּלְבַּשׁ קְלָלָה, כְּמַדּוֹ: וַתָּבֹא כַמַּיִם בְּקִרְבּוֹ; וְכַשֶּׁמֶן, בְּעַצְמוֹתָיו.
vayyilbash kelalah kemaddo vattavo khamayim bekirbo vekhashemen be'atzmotav.
He clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones.
19.
תְּהִי-לוֹ, כְּבֶגֶד יַעְטֶה; וּלְמֵזַח, תָּמִיד יַחְגְּרֶהָ.
tehi-lo keveged ya'ete ulemezakh tamid yakhgereha.
Let it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.'
20.
זֹאת פְּעֻלַּת שֹׂטְנַי, מֵאֵת יְהוָה; וְהַדֹּבְרִים רָע, עַל-נַפְשִׁי.
zot pe'ullat sotnay, me'et YHWH; ve'haddovrim ra, al-nafshi.
This would mine adversaries effect from the LORD, and they that speak evil against my soul.
21.
וְאַתָּה, יְהוִה אֲדֹנָי-- עֲשֵׂה-אִתִּי, לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ;כִּי-טוֹב חַסְדְּךָ, הַצִּילֵנִי.
ve'attah, YHwi Adonai-- ase-itti, lema'an shemeka; ki-tov khasdeka, hatzileni.
But Thou, O GOD the Lord, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me.
22.
כִּי-עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנֹכִי; וְלִבִּי, חָלַל בְּקִרְבִּי.
ki-ani ve'evyon anokhi; ve'libbi, khalal bekirbi.
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23.
כְּצֵל-כִּנְטוֹתוֹ נֶהֱלָכְתִּי; נִנְעַרְתִּי, כָּאַרְבֶּה.
ke'tzel-kintoto nehelakti; ninnarti, ka'arbeh.
I am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust.
24.
בִּרְכַּי, כָּשְׁלוּ מִצּוֹם; וּבְשָׂרִי, כָּחַשׁ מִשָּׁמֶן.
birkay kashlu mitzom uvsari kakhash mishamen.
My knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness.
25.
וַאֲנִי, הָיִיתִי חֶרְפָּה לָהֶם; יִרְאוּנִי, יְנִיעוּן רֹאשָׁם.
va'ani hayiti kherpah lahem yir'uni yeni'un rosham.
I am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head.
26.
עָזְרֵנִי, יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי; הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כְחַסְדֶּךָ.
ozreni YHWH Elohay hoshieni khekhasdecha.
Help me, O LORD my God; O save me according to Thy mercy;
27.
וְיֵדְעוּ, כִּי-יָדְךָ זֹּאת; אַתָּה יְהוָה עֲשִׂיתָהּ.
veyde'u ki-yadkha zot atah YHWH ashitah.
That they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, LORD, hast done it.
28.
יְקַלְלוּ-הֵמָּה, וְאַתָּה תְבָרֵךְ: קָמוּ, וַיֵּבֹשׁוּ--וְעַבְדְּךָ יִשְׂמָח.
yekalelu-hemmah ve'attah tevarekh kamu vayevoshu ve'avdekha yismach.
Let them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice.
29.
יִלְבְּשׁוּ שׂוֹטְנַי כְּלִמָּה; וְיַעֲטוּ כַמְעִיל בָּשְׁתָּם.
yilbeshu sotenay kelimah veya'atu kameil bashtam.
Mine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe.
30.
אוֹדֶה יְהוָה מְאֹד בְּפִי; וּבְתוֹךְ רַבִּים אֲהַלְלֶנּוּ.
odeh YHWH me'od befi uvetokh rabbim ahallennu.
I will give great thanks unto the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude;
31.
כִּי-יַעֲמֹד, לִימִין אֶבְיוֹן-- לְהוֹשִׁיעַ, מִשֹּׁפְטֵי נַפְשׁוֹ.
ki-ya'amod limin evyon lehoshia mishoftei nafsho.
Because He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.
