1.
וָאֹמַר, שִׁמְעוּ-נָא רָאשֵׁי יַעֲקֹב, וּקְצִינֵי, בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל: הֲלוֹא לָכֶם, לָדַעַת אֶת-הַמִּשְׁפָּט.
va'omar, shim'u-na rashei Ya'akov, uktsinei, beit Yisrael: halo lakem, lada'at et-hamishpat.
And I said: Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?
2.
שֹׂנְאֵי טוֹב, וְאֹהֲבֵי רעה רָע; גֹּזְלֵי עוֹרָם מֵעֲלֵיהֶם, וּשְׁאֵרָם מֵעַל עַצְמוֹתָם.
sone'i tov, ve'ohavei ra'ah ra; gozlei oram me'alehem, ushe'eram me'al atsmotam.
Who hate the good, and love the evil; who rob their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

וַאֲשֶׁר אָכְלוּ, שְׁאֵר עַמִּי, וְעוֹרָם מֵעֲלֵיהֶם הִפְשִׁיטוּ, וְאֶת-עַצְמֹתֵיהֶם פִּצֵּחוּ; וּפָרְשׂוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר בַּסִּיר, וּכְבָשָׂר בְּתוֹךְ קַלָּחַת.
va'asher akhlu, she'er ammi, ve'oram me'alehem hipsheetu, ve'et-atsmoteihem pitsechu; ufareshu ka'asher bassir, ukhevasar betokh kallachat.
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones; yea, they chop them in pieces, as that which is in the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

אָז יִזְעֲקוּ אֶל-יְהוָה, וְלֹא יַעֲנֶה אוֹתָם; וְיַסְתֵּר פָּנָיו מֵהֶם בָּעֵת הַהִיא, כַּאֲשֶׁר הֵרֵעוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶם.
az yiz'eku el-YHWH, velo ya'aneh otam; veyaster paniav mehem ba'et hahi, ka'asher here'u ma'alleihem.
Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but He will not answer them; yea, He will hide His face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.

כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה, עַל-הַנְּבִיאִים הַמַּתְעִים אֶת-עַמִּי--הַנֹּשְׁכִים בְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם, וְקָרְאוּ שָׁלוֹם, וַאֲשֶׁר לֹא-יִתֵּן עַל-פִּיהֶם, וְקִדְּשׁוּ עָלָיו מִלְחָמָה.
Koh amar YHWH, al-hanevi'im hamat'im et-ammi--hannoshim beshinneihem, vekar'u shalom, va'asher lo-yitten al-pihem, veqiddeshu alav milchamah.
Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that cry: 'Peace', when their teeth have any thing to bite; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:
6.
לָכֵן לַיְלָה לָכֶם, מֵחָזוֹן, וְחָשְׁכָה לָכֶם, מִקְּסֹם; וּבָאָה הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ עַל-הַנְּבִיאִים, וְקָדַר עֲלֵיהֶם הַיּוֹם.
Laken lailah lakhem, mehazon, vekhashkhah lakhem, miqqesom; uvah ha-shemesh al-hanevi'im, veqadar aleihem hayyom.
Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
7.
וּבֹשׁוּ הַחֹזִים, וְחָפְרוּ הַקֹּסְמִים, וְעָטוּ עַל-שָׂפָם, כֻּלָּם: כִּי אֵין מַעֲנֵה, אֱלֹהִים.
Uvoshu hakhozim, vekhafuru haqosim, ve'atu al-safam, kullan: ki ein ma'aneh, Elohim.
And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their upper lips; for there shall be no answer of God.
8.
וְאוּלָם, אָנֹכִי מָלֵאתִי כֹחַ אֶת-רוּחַ יְהוָה, וּמִשְׁפָּט, וּגְבוּרָה--לְהַגִּיד לְיַעֲקֹב פִּשְׁעוֹ, וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵל חַטָּאתוֹ.
Ve'ulam, anokhi maleiti khoakh et-ruakh YHWH, umishpat, ugevurah--lehaggid leYa'akov pish'o, uleYisrael khatta'to.
But I truly am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9.
שִׁמְעוּ-נָא זֹאת, רָאשֵׁי בֵּית יַעֲקֹב, וּקְצִינֵי, בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל--הַמְתַעֲבִים מִשְׁפָּט, וְאֵת כָּל-הַיְשָׁרָה יְעַקֵּשׁוּ.
shim'u-na zot, rashei beit ya'akov, uktsinei, beit yisrael--hamta'avim mishpat, ve'et kol-hayesharah ye'akeshu.
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity;
10.
בֹּנֶה צִיּוֹן, בְּדָמִים; וִירוּשָׁלִַם, בְּעַוְלָה.
boneh tziyon, bedamim; virushalayim, be'avlah.
That build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11.
רָאשֶׁיהָ בְּשֹׁחַד יִשְׁפֹּטוּ, וְכֹהֲנֶיהָ בִּמְחִיר יוֹרוּ, וּנְבִיאֶיהָ, בְּכֶסֶף יִקְסֹמוּ; וְעַל-יְהוָה, יִשָּׁעֵנוּ לֵאמֹר, הֲלוֹא יְהוָה בְּקִרְבֵּנוּ, לֹא-תָבוֹא עָלֵינוּ רָעָה.
rasheiha beshochad yishpotu, vekoheneiha bimchir yoru, unevi'eiha, bekhesef yiksomu; ve'al-yhwh, yisha'enu lemor, halo yhwh bekirbenu, lo-tavo aleinu ra'ah.
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say: 'Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us'?
12.
לָכֵן, בִּגְלַלְכֶם, צִיּוֹן, שָׂדֶה תֵחָרֵשׁ; וִירוּשָׁלִַם עִיִּין תִּהְיֶה, וְהַר הַבַּיִת לְבָמוֹת יָעַר.
lakhen, biglalkhem, tziyon, sadeh tekharesh; virushalayim 'iyin tihyeh, vehar habayit levamot ya'ar.
Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
