וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה, אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
vaydabber YHWH, el-Moshe lemor.
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:

צַו אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן זַיִת זָךְ כָּתִית--לַמָּאוֹר: לְהַעֲלֹת נֵר, תָּמִיד.
tzav et-bnei Yisrael, veyikhu eleikha shemen zayit zakh katit--lamma'or: leha'alot ner, tamid.
'Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.
3.
מִחוּץ לְפָרֹכֶת הָעֵדֻת בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, יַעֲרֹךְ אֹתוֹ אַהֲרֹן מֵעֶרֶב עַד-בֹּקֶר לִפְנֵי יְהוָה--תָּמִיד: חֻקַּת עוֹלָם, לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם.
mikhu'tz lefarokhet ha'edut be'ohel mo'ed, ya'arokh oto Aharon me'erev ad-boker lifnei YHWH--tamid: khukat olam, ledorotekhem.
Without the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron order it from evening to morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.
4.
עַל הַמְּנֹרָה הַטְּהֹרָה, יַעֲרֹךְ אֶת-הַנֵּרוֹת, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה, תָּמִיד.
al hamenorah hatehorah, ya'arokh et-haneirot, lifnei YHWH, tamid.
He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
5.
וְלָקַחְתָּ סֹלֶת--וְאָפִיתָ אֹתָהּ, שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה חַלּוֹת; שְׁנֵי, עֶשְׂרֹנִים, יִהְיֶה, הַחַלָּה הָאֶחָת.
velakhakhta solet--ve'afita otah, sheteim esrei khallot; shenei, esronim, yihyeh, hakhalah ha'akhat.
And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth parts of an ephah shall be in one cake.
6.
וְשַׂמְתָּ אוֹתָם שְׁתַּיִם מַעֲרָכוֹת, שֵׁשׁ הַמַּעֲרָכֶת, עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן הַטָּהֹר, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה.
vesamta otam shetayim ma'arakhot, shesh hama'arakhet, al hashulhan hatahor, lifnei YHWH.
And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
7.
וְנָתַתָּ עַל-הַמַּעֲרֶכֶת, לְבֹנָה זַכָּה; וְהָיְתָה לַלֶּחֶם לְאַזְכָּרָה, אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה.
venatata al-hama'arehet, levonah zakah; vehayatah lalehem le'azkarah, isheh laYHWH.
And thou shalt put pure frankincense with each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial-part, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
8.
בְּיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת בְּיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת, יַעַרְכֶנּוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה--תָּמִיד: מֵאֵת בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל, בְּרִית עוֹלָם.
beyom hashabbat beyom hashabbat, ya'archennu lifnei YHWH--tamid: me'et benei-Yisrael, berit olam.
Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually; it is from the children of Israel, an everlasting covenant.
9.
וְהָיְתָה לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו, וַאֲכָלֻהוּ בְּמָקוֹם קָדֹשׁ: כִּי קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים הוּא לוֹ, מֵאִשֵּׁי יְהוָה--חָק-עוֹלָם.
vehayetah le'Aharon ulevanav, va'akaluhu bemaqom qadosh: ki qodesh qadashim hu lo, me'ishei YHWH--choq-olam.
And it shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, a perpetual due.'
10.
וַיֵּצֵא, בֶּן-אִשָּׁה יִשְׂרְאֵלִית, וְהוּא בֶּן-אִישׁ מִצְרִי, בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל; וַיִּנָּצוּ, בַּמַּחֲנֶה, בֶּן הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית, וְאִישׁ הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִי.
vayetze, ben-ishah Yisra'elit, vehu ben-ish Mitzri, betokh bene Yisra'el; vayinnatzu, bamahaneh, ben hayisra'elit, ve'ish hayisra'eli.
And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.
11.
וַיִּקֹּב בֶּן-הָאִשָּׁה הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית אֶת-הַשֵּׁם, וַיְקַלֵּל, וַיָּבִיאוּ אֹתוֹ, אֶל-מֹשֶׁה; וְשֵׁם אִמּוֹ שְׁלֹמִית בַּת-דִּבְרִי, לְמַטֵּה-דָן.
vayiqqov ben-ha'ishah hayisra'elit et-hashem, vayqallel, vayavi'u oto, el-Mosheh; veshem immo Shelomit bat-Divri, lematteh-Dan.
And the son of the Israelitish woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
12.
וַיַּנִּיחֻהוּ, בַּמִּשְׁמָר, לִפְרֹשׁ לָהֶם, עַל-פִּי יְהוָה.
vayani'uhu, bamishmar, lifrosh lahem, al-pi YHWH.
And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of the LORD.
13.
וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה, אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר.
vaydabed YHWH, el-Moshe lemor.
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
14.
הוֹצֵא אֶת-הַמְקַלֵּל, אֶל-מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה, וְסָמְכוּ כָל-הַשֹּׁמְעִים אֶת-יְדֵיהֶם, עַל-רֹאשׁוֹ; וְרָגְמוּ אֹתוֹ, כָּל-הָעֵדָה.
hotse et-hamkallel, el-mikhuts lamakhane, vesamkhu khol-hashom'im et-yedehem, al-rosho; veragmu oto, kol-ha'eda.
'Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
15.
וְאֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, תְּדַבֵּר לֵאמֹר: אִישׁ אִישׁ כִּי-יְקַלֵּל אֱלֹהָיו, וְנָשָׂא חֶטְאוֹ.
ve'el-bnei Yisrael, tedaber lemor: ish ish ki-yekalel Elohav, venasa het'o.
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying: Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
16.
וְנֹקֵב שֵׁם-יְהוָה מוֹת יוּמָת, רָגוֹם יִרְגְּמוּ-בוֹ כָּל-הָעֵדָה: כַּגֵּר, כָּאֶזְרָח--בְּנָקְבוֹ-שֵׁם, יוּמָת.
venokev shem-YHWH mot yumat, ragom yirgemu-bo kol-ha'edah: kager, ka'ezrah--benakvo-shem, yumat.
And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger, as the home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.
17.
וְאִישׁ, כִּי יַכֶּה כָּל-נֶפֶשׁ אָדָם--מוֹת, יוּמָת.
ve'ish, ki yakeh kol-nephesh adam--mot, yumat.
And he that smiteth any man mortally shall surely be put to death.
18.
וּמַכֵּה נֶפֶשׁ-בְּהֵמָה, יְשַׁלְּמֶנָּה--נֶפֶשׁ, תַּחַת נָפֶשׁ.
umakeh nefesh-behemah, yeshalmenah--nefesh, tahat nefesh.
And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good: life for life.
19.
וְאִישׁ, כִּי-יִתֵּן מוּם בַּעֲמִיתוֹ--כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה, כֵּן יֵעָשֶׂה לּוֹ.
ve'ish, ki-yiten mum ba'amito--ka'asher asah, ken ye'aseh lo.
And if a man maim his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him:
20.
שֶׁבֶר, תַּחַת שֶׁבֶר, עַיִן תַּחַת עַיִן, שֵׁן תַּחַת שֵׁן--כַּאֲשֶׁר יִתֵּן מוּם בָּאָדָם, כֵּן יִנָּתֶן בּוֹ.
shever, tahat shever, ayin tahat ayin, shen tahat shen--ka'asher yiten mum ba'adam, ken yinaten bo.
breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he hath maimed a man, so shall it be rendered unto him.
21.
וּמַכֵּה בְהֵמָה, יְשַׁלְּמֶנָּה; וּמַכֵּה אָדָם, יוּמָת.
u'makeh behemah yeshalmenah; u'makeh adam yumat.
And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; and he that killeth a man shall be put to death.
22.
מִשְׁפַּט אֶחָד יִהְיֶה לָכֶם, כַּגֵּר כָּאֶזְרָח יִהְיֶה: כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה, אֱלֹהֵיכֶם.
mishpat echad yihyeh lakhem, kager ka'ezrach yihyeh: ki ani YHWH, Eloheikhem.
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for the home-born; for I am the LORD your God.'
23.
וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה, אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיּוֹצִיאוּ אֶת-הַמְקַלֵּל אֶל-מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה, וַיִּרְגְּמוּ אֹתוֹ אָבֶן; וּבְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל עָשׂוּ, כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.
vaydaber Moshe, el-bnei Yisrael, vayozi'u et-hamqkallel el-michutz lamachaneh, vayrigmu oto even; u'bnei-Yisrael asu, ka'asher tzivwah YHWH et-Moshe.
And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.
