1.
הוֹי הַיֹּרְדִים מִצְרַיִם לְעֶזְרָה, עַל-סוּסִים יִשָּׁעֵנוּ; וַיִּבְטְחוּ עַל-רֶכֶב כִּי רָב, וְעַל פָּרָשִׁים כִּי-עָצְמוּ מְאֹד--וְלֹא שָׁעוּ עַל-קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאֶת-יְהוָה לֹא דָרָשׁוּ.
Hoy hayordim Mitzrayim le'ezrah, al-susim yisha'enu; vayivtekhu al-rekhev ki rav, ve'al parashim ki-'atzmu me'od--velo sha'u al-kedosh Yisrael, ve'et-YHWH lo darashu.
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many, and in horsemen, because they are exceeding mighty; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
2.
וְגַם-הוּא חָכָם וַיָּבֵא רָע, וְאֶת-דְּבָרָיו לֹא הֵסִיר; וְקָם עַל-בֵּית מְרֵעִים, וְעַל-עֶזְרַת פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן.
Vegas-hu chakham vayave ra, ve'et-devarav lo hesir; vekam al-beit mere'im, ve'al-ezrat po'alei aven.
Yet He also is wise, and bringeth evil, and doth not call back His words; but will arise against the house of the evil-doers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

וּמִצְרַיִם אָדָם וְלֹא-אֵל, וְסוּסֵיהֶם בָּשָׂר וְלֹא-רוּחַ; וַיהוָה יַטֶּה יָדוֹ, וְכָשַׁל עוֹזֵר וְנָפַל עָזֻר--וְיַחְדָּו, כֻּלָּם יִכְלָיוּן.
Umitzrayim adam velo-el, וsuseihem basar velo-ruach; vaYHWH yate yado, vekhashal ozer venafal azur--veyachdav, kullam yikhlayun.
Now the Egyptians are men, and not God, and their horses flesh, and not spirit; so when the LORD shall stretch out His hand, both he that helpeth shall stumble, and he that is helped shall fall, and they all shall perish together.
4.
כִּי כֹה אָמַר-יְהוָה אֵלַי כַּאֲשֶׁר יֶהְגֶּה הָאַרְיֵה וְהַכְּפִיר עַל-טַרְפּוֹ, אֲשֶׁר יִקָּרֵא עָלָיו מְלֹא רֹעִים, מִקּוֹלָם לֹא יֵחָת, וּמֵהֲמוֹנָם לֹא יַעֲנֶה; כֵּן, יֵרֵד יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת, לִצְבֹּא עַל-הַר-צִיּוֹן, וְעַל-גִּבְעָתָהּ.
Ki kho amar-YHWH elay ka'asher yehge ha'aryeh vehakfir al-tarpo, asher yikare alav melo ro'im, mikkolam lo yechat, umehamonam lo ya'ane; ken, yered YHWH tzeva'ot, litzbo al-har-tziyon, ve'al-giv'atah.
For thus saith the LORD unto me: Like as the lion, or the young lion, growling over his prey, though a multitude of shepherds be called forth against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them; so will the LORD of hosts come down to fight upon mount Zion, and upon the hill thereof.
5.
כְּצִפֳּרִים עָפוֹת--כֵּן יָגֵן יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת, עַל-יְרוּשָׁלִָם; גָּנוֹן וְהִצִּיל, פָּסֹחַ וְהִמְלִיט.
ketziporim afot ken yagen YHWH tzva'ot al-Yerushalayim ganon vehatzil pasoh vehimlit.
As birds hovering, so will the LORD of hosts protect Jerusalem; He will deliver it as He protecteth it, He will rescue it as He passeth over.
6.
שׁוּבוּ, לַאֲשֶׁר הֶעְמִיקוּ סָרָה--בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
shuvu la'asher he'emiku sarah bene Yisrael.
Turn ye unto Him against whom ye have deeply rebelled, O children of Israel.
7.
כִּי, בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, יִמְאָסוּן אִישׁ אֱלִילֵי כַסְפּוֹ, וֶאֱלִילֵי זְהָבוֹ--אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ לָכֶם יְדֵיכֶם, חֵטְא.
ki bayom hahu yim'asun ish elile kaspo ve'elile zehavo asher asu lakhem yedeikhem het.
For in that day they shall cast away every man his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8.
וְנָפַל אַשּׁוּר בְּחֶרֶב לֹא-אִישׁ, וְחֶרֶב לֹא-אָדָם תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ; וְנָס לוֹ מִפְּנֵי-חֶרֶב, וּבַחוּרָיו לָמַס יִהְיוּ.
venafal ashur beherev lo-ish vecherev lo-adam tokhlenu venas lo mipenei-cherev uvhurayim lamas yihyu.
Then shall Asshur fall with the sword, not of man, and the sword, not of men, shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall become tributary.
9.
וְסַלְעוֹ מִמָּגוֹר יַעֲבוֹר, וְחַתּוּ מִנֵּס שָׂרָיו: נְאֻם-יְהוָה, אֲשֶׁר-אוּר לוֹ בְּצִיּוֹן, וְתַנּוּר לוֹ, בִּירוּשָׁלִָם.
Vesal'o mimmagor ya'avor, vechattuu minnes sarav: ne'um-YHWH, asher-ur lo vetsiyon, vetannur lo, birushalayim.
And his rock shall pass away by reason of terror, and his princes shall be dismayed at the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and His furnace in Jerusalem.
