1.
בִּשְׁנַת בֹּא תַרְתָּן, אַשְׁדּוֹדָה, בִּשְׁלֹחַ אֹתוֹ, סַרְגוֹן מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר; וַיִּלָּחֶם בְּאַשְׁדּוֹד, וַיִּלְכְּדָהּ.
bishnat bo tartan, ashdodah, bishloach oto, sargon melekh ashur; vayillachem be'ashdod, vayilkedah.
In the year that Tartan came into Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it;

בָּעֵת הַהִיא, דִּבֶּר יְהוָה בְּיַד יְשַׁעְיָהוּ בֶן-אָמוֹץ לֵאמֹר, לֵךְ וּפִתַּחְתָּ הַשַּׂק מֵעַל מָתְנֶיךָ, וְנַעַלְךָ תַחֲלֹץ מֵעַל רַגְלֶךָ; וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן, הָלֹךְ עָרוֹם וְיָחֵף.
ba'et hahi, diber YHWH beyad Yeshayahu ven-amotz lemor, lekh ufitakhta hashak me'al matneykha, vena'alkha takhalot me'al raglekha; vaya'as ken, halokh arum veyakhef.
at that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying: 'Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put thy shoe from off thy foot.' And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה, כַּאֲשֶׁר הָלַךְ עַבְדִּי יְשַׁעְיָהוּ עָרוֹם וְיָחֵף--שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים אוֹת וּמוֹפֵת, עַל-מִצְרַיִם וְעַל-כּוּשׁ.
vayo'mer YHWH, ka'asher halakh avdi Yeshayahu arum veyakhef--shalosh shanim ot umofet, al-mitzrayim ve'al-kush.
And the LORD said: 'Like as My servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot to be for three years a sign and a wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia,
4.
כֵּן יִנְהַג מֶלֶךְ-אַשּׁוּר אֶת-שְׁבִי מִצְרַיִם וְאֶת-גָּלוּת כּוּשׁ, נְעָרִים וּזְקֵנִים--עָרוֹם וְיָחֵף; וַחֲשׂוּפַי שֵׁת, עֶרְוַת מִצְרָיִם.
ken yinhag melekh-ashur et-shevi mitzrayim ve'et galut kush, nearim uzekenim--arum veyakhef; vakhasufay shet, ervat mitzrayim.
so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt, and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
5.
וְחַתּוּ, וָבֹשׁוּ--מִכּוּשׁ, מַבָּטָם, וּמִן-מִצְרַיִם, תִּפְאַרְתָּם.
vekhattu, vovoshu--mikush, mabbatam, umin-mitzrayim, tif'artam.
And they shall be dismayed and ashamed, because of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
6.
וְאָמַר יֹשֵׁב הָאִי הַזֶּה, בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, הִנֵּה-כֹה מַבָּטֵנוּ אֲשֶׁר-נַסְנוּ שָׁם לְעֶזְרָה, לְהִנָּצֵל מִפְּנֵי מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר; וְאֵיךְ, נִמָּלֵט אֲנָחְנוּ.
ve'amar yoshev ha'i hazeh, bayom hahu, hinneh-kho mabatenu asher-nasnu sham le'ezrah, lehinatzel mipenei melekh ashur; ve'ekh, nimalet anakhnu.
And the inhabitant of this coast-land shall say in that day: Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?'
