1.
הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר חָזָה, יְשַׁעְיָהוּ בֶּן-אָמוֹץ, עַל-יְהוּדָה, וִירוּשָׁלִָם.
hadavar asher khazah, Yeshayahu ben-amotz, al-Yehudah, Virushalayim.
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2.
וְהָיָה בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים, נָכוֹן יִהְיֶה הַר בֵּית-יְהוָה בְּרֹאשׁ הֶהָרִים, וְנִשָּׂא, מִגְּבָעוֹת; וְנָהֲרוּ אֵלָיו, כָּל-הַגּוֹיִם.
Vehayah be'aharit hayamim, nakhon yihyeh har beit-YHWH berosh heharim, venissa, miggeva'ot; venaharu elav, kol-hagoyim.
And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

וְהָלְכוּ עַמִּים רַבִּים, וְאָמְרוּ לְכוּ וְנַעֲלֶה אֶל-הַר-יְהוָה אֶל-בֵּית אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב, וְיֹרֵנוּ מִדְּרָכָיו, וְנֵלְכָה בְּאֹרְחֹתָיו: כִּי מִצִּיּוֹן תֵּצֵא תוֹרָה, וּדְבַר-יְהוָה מִירוּשָׁלִָם.
Vehalku amim rabim, ve'amru lekhu wena'aleh el-har-YHWH el-beit elohei Ya'akov, veyorenu midderakhav, wenelkhah be'orhotav: ki mittziyon tetzei torah, udevar-YHWH miYerushalayim.
And many peoples shall go and say: 'Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

וְשָׁפַט בֵּין הַגּוֹיִם, וְהוֹכִיחַ לְעַמִּים רַבִּים; וְכִתְּתוּ חַרְבוֹתָם לְאִתִּים, וַחֲנִיתוֹתֵיהֶם לְמַזְמֵרוֹת--לֹא-יִשָּׂא גוֹי אֶל-גּוֹי חֶרֶב, וְלֹא-יִלְמְדוּ עוֹד מִלְחָמָה.
Veshafat bein hagoyim, vehokhiakh le'amim rabim; vekhittetu kharvotam le'itim, wakhanitoteihem lemazmerot--lo-yissa goy el-goy kherev, welo-yilmedu od milkhamah.
And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

בֵּית, יַעֲקֹב--לְכוּ וְנֵלְכָה, בְּאוֹר יְהוָה.
Beit, Ya'akov--lekhu wenelkhah, be'or YHWH.
O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6.
כִּי נָטַשְׁתָּה, עַמְּךָ בֵּית יַעֲקֹב--כִּי מָלְאוּ מִקֶּדֶם, וְעֹנְנִים כַּפְּלִשְׁתִּים; וּבְיַלְדֵי נָכְרִים, יַשְׂפִּיקוּ.
Ki natashta, amkha beit Ya'akov—ki male'u miqedem, ve'onenim kapelishtim; uveyaldei nokhrim, yashpiqu.
For Thou hast forsaken Thy people the house of Jacob; for they are replenished from the east, and with soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the brood of aliens.

וַתִּמָּלֵא אַרְצוֹ כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב, וְאֵין קֵצֶה לְאֹצְרֹתָיו; וַתִּמָּלֵא אַרְצוֹ סוּסִים, וְאֵין קֵצֶה לְמַרְכְּבֹתָיו.
Vatimalei artso kesef vezahav, ve'ein ketseh le'otsrotav; vatimalei artso susim, ve'ein ketseh lemarkevotav.
Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

וַתִּמָּלֵא אַרְצוֹ, אֱלִילִים: לְמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו יִשְׁתַּחֲווּ, לַאֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ אֶצְבְּעֹתָיו.
Vatimalei artso, elilim: lema'aseh yadav yishtakhavu, la'asher asu etzbe'otav.
Their land also is full of idols; every one worshippeth the work of his own hands, that which his own fingers have made.
9.
וַיִּשַּׁח אָדָם, וַיִּשְׁפַּל-אִישׁ; וְאַל-תִּשָּׂא, לָהֶם.
Vayishakh adam, vayishpal-ish; ve'al-tisa, lahem.
And man boweth down, and man lowereth himself; and Thou canst not bear with them.
10.
בּוֹא בַצּוּר, וְהִטָּמֵן בֶּעָפָר, מִפְּנֵי פַּחַד יְהוָה, וּמֵהֲדַר גְּאֹנוֹ.
bo' vatzur, vehitamen be'afar, mipnei pachad YHWH, umehadar ge'ono.
Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty.
11.
עֵינֵי גַּבְהוּת אָדָם, שָׁפֵל, וְשַׁח, רוּם אֲנָשִׁים; וְנִשְׂגַּב יְהוָה לְבַדּוֹ, בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא.
einei gavhut adam, shafel, veshach, rum anashim; venisgav YHWH levado, bayom hahu.
The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12.
כִּי יוֹם לַיהוָה צְבָאוֹת, עַל כָּל-גֵּאֶה--וָרָם; וְעַל, כָּל-נִשָּׂא וְשָׁפֵל.
ki yom laYHWH tzeva'ot, al kol-ge'eh--varam; ve'al, kol-nisa veshafel.
For the LORD of hosts hath a day upon all that is proud and lofty, and upon all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low;
13.
וְעַל כָּל-אַרְזֵי הַלְּבָנוֹן, הָרָמִים וְהַנִּשָּׂאִים; וְעַל, כָּל-אַלּוֹנֵי הַבָּשָׁן.
ve'al kol-arzei halevanon, haramim vehannis'im; ve'al, kol-allonei habashan.
And upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan;
14.
וְעַל, כָּל-הֶהָרִים הָרָמִים; וְעַל, כָּל-הַגְּבָעוֹת הַנִּשָּׂאוֹת.
ve'al kol heharim haramim ve'al kol hageva'ot hanissa'ot
And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up;
15.
וְעַל, כָּל-מִגְדָּל גָּבֹהַּ; וְעַל, כָּל-חוֹמָה בְצוּרָה.
ve'al kol migdal gavoha ve'al kol homah vetsurah
And upon every lofty tower, and upon every fortified wall;
16.
וְעַל, כָּל-אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ; וְעַל, כָּל-שְׂכִיּוֹת הַחֶמְדָּה.
ve'al kol oniyot tarshish ve'al kol sekiyot hakhemdah
And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all delightful imagery.
17.
וְשַׁח גַּבְהוּת הָאָדָם, וְשָׁפֵל רוּם אֲנָשִׁים; וְנִשְׂגַּב יְהוָה לְבַדּוֹ, בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא.
veshah gavhut ha'adam veshafel rum anashim venisgav YHWH levado bayom hahu
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18.
וְהָאֱלִילִים, כָּלִיל יַחֲלֹף.
veha'elilim, kalil yakhalof.
And the idols shall utterly pass away.
19.
וּבָאוּ בִּמְעָרוֹת צֻרִים, וּבִמְחִלּוֹת עָפָר--מִפְּנֵי פַּחַד יְהוָה, וּמֵהֲדַר גְּאוֹנוֹ, בְּקוּמוֹ, לַעֲרֹץ הָאָרֶץ.
uvaru bim'arot tzurim, uvimkhillot afar--mipnei pakhad YHWH, umehadar ge'ono, bekumo, la'arot ha'aretz.
And men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake mightily the earth.
20.
בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, יַשְׁלִיךְ הָאָדָם, אֵת אֱלִילֵי כַסְפּוֹ, וְאֵת אֱלִילֵי זְהָבוֹ--אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ-לוֹ לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺת, לַחְפֹּר פֵּרוֹת וְלָעֲטַלֵּפִים.
bayom hahu, yashlikh ha'adam, et elilei kaspo, ve'et elilei zehavo--asher as-lu lehishtakhavot, lakhpor perot vela'atalefim.
In that day a man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21.
לָבוֹא בְּנִקְרוֹת הַצֻּרִים, וּבִסְעִפֵי הַסְּלָעִים--מִפְּנֵי פַּחַד יְהוָה, וּמֵהֲדַר גְּאוֹנוֹ, בְּקוּמוֹ, לַעֲרֹץ הָאָרֶץ.
lavo benikrot hatzurim, uvisefei hasela'im--mipnei pakhad YHWH, umehadar ge'ono, bekumo, la'arot ha'aretz.
To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the crevices of the crags, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of His majesty, when he ariseth to shake mightily the earth.
22.
חִדְלוּ לָכֶם מִן-הָאָדָם, אֲשֶׁר נְשָׁמָה בְּאַפּוֹ: כִּי-בַמֶּה נֶחְשָׁב, הוּא.
khidlu lakhem min-ha'adam, asher neshamah be'apo: ki-bamah nekhshav, hu.
Cease ye from man, in whose nostrils is a breath; for how little is he to be accounted!
