1.
וּבִנְיָמִן--הוֹלִיד, אֶת-בֶּלַע בְּכֹרוֹ; אַשְׁבֵּל, הַשֵּׁנִי, וְאַחְרַח, הַשְּׁלִישִׁי.
uvinyamin - holid, et-bela bekhoro; ashbel, hasheni, ve'akhrakh, hashelishi.
And Benjamin begot Bela his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third;
2.
נוֹחָה, הָרְבִיעִי, וְרָפָא, הַחֲמִישִׁי.
nokhah, hareviei, verafa, hakhamishi.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3.
וַיִּהְיוּ בָנִים, לְבָלַע--אַדָּר וְגֵרָא, וַאֲבִיהוּד.
vayihyu vanim, levaral - adar vegera, va'avihud.
And Bela had sons, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud;
4.
וַאֲבִישׁוּעַ וְנַעֲמָן, וַאֲחוֹחַ.
va'avishua vena'aman, va'akhoakh.
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah;
5.
וְגֵרָא וּשְׁפוּפָן, וְחוּרָם.
vegera ushufan, vekhuram.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6.
וְאֵלֶּה, בְּנֵי אֵחוּד; אֵלֶּה הֵם רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת, לְיוֹשְׁבֵי גֶבַע, וַיַּגְלוּם, אֶל-מָנָחַת.
ve'eleh, benei ekhud; eleh hem rashei avot, leyoshevei geva, vayaglum, el-manakhat.
And these are the sons of Ehud--these are the heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Geba, and they were carried captive to Manahath;
7.
וְנַעֲמָן וַאֲחִיָּה וְגֵרָא, הוּא הֶגְלָם; וְהוֹלִיד אֶת-עֻזָּא, וְאֶת-אֲחִיחֻד.
vena'aman va'akhiyahu vegera, hu heglam; veholid et-uza, ve'et-akhiKhud.
and Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, were they that carried them captive--and he begot Uzza, and Ahihud.
8.
וְשַׁחֲרַיִם, הוֹלִיד בִּשְׂדֵה מוֹאָב, מִן-שִׁלְחוֹ, אֹתָם--חוּשִׁים וְאֶת-בַּעֲרָא, נָשָׁיו.
veshakharayim, holid bisdeh mo'av, min-shilkho, otam--khushim ve'et-ba'ara, nashav.
And Shaharaim begot children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away, to wit, Hushim and Baara his wives;
9.
וַיּוֹלֶד, מִן-חֹדֶשׁ אִשְׁתּוֹ--אֶת-יוֹבָב, וְאֶת-צִבְיָא, וְאֶת-מֵישָׁא, וְאֶת-מַלְכָּם.
vayoled, min-khodesh ishto--et-yovav, ve'et-tzivya, ve'et-meysha, ve'et-malkam.
he begot of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
10.
וְאֶת-יְעוּץ וְאֶת-שָׂכְיָה, וְאֶת-מִרְמָה; אֵלֶּה בָנָיו, רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת.
ve'et-ye'utz ve'et-sakhyah, ve'et-mirmah; elleh vanav, rashei avot.
and Jeuz, and Sachiah, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers' houses.
11.
וּמֵחֻשִׁים הוֹלִיד אֶת-אֲבִיטוּב, וְאֶת-אֶלְפָּעַל.
u-mekhushim holid et-avituv, ve'et-elpa'al.
and of Hushim he begot Abitub, and Elpaal.
12.
וּבְנֵי אֶלְפַּעַל, עֵבֶר וּמִשְׁעָם וָשָׁמֶד; הוּא בָּנָה אֶת-אוֹנוֹ, וְאֶת-לֹד וּבְנֹתֶיהָ.
u-vnei elpa'al, ever u-mish'am vashamed; hu banah et-ono, ve'et-lod u-vnoteha.
And the sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof;
13.
וּבְרִעָה וָשֶׁמַע--הֵמָּה רָאשֵׁי הָאָבוֹת, לְיוֹשְׁבֵי אַיָּלוֹן; הֵמָּה הִבְרִיחוּ, אֶת-יוֹשְׁבֵי גַת.
uve'ri'ah vashema -- hemmah rashei ha'avot, leyoshvei ayalon; hemmah hivrichu, et-yoshvei gat.
and Beriah, and Shema, who were heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.
14.
וְאַחְיוֹ שָׁשָׁק, וִירֵמוֹת.
ve'achyo shashak, vireromot.
And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth;
15.
וּזְבַדְיָה וַעֲרָד, וָעָדֶר.
uzevadyah va'arad, va'ader.
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder;
16.
וּמִיכָאֵל וְיִשְׁפָּה וְיוֹחָא, בְּנֵי בְרִיעָה.
umika'el veyishpah veyochaha, benei veri'ah.
and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.
17.
וּזְבַדְיָה וּמְשֻׁלָּם, וְחִזְקִי וָחָבֶר.
uzevadyah umeshulam, vekhizki vakhaver.
And Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber;
18.
וְיִשְׁמְרַי וְיִזְלִיאָה וְיוֹבָב, בְּנֵי אֶלְפָּעַל.
veyishmeray veyizli'ah veyovav, bene elpa'al.
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, were the sons of Elpaal.
19.
וְיָקִים וְזִכְרִי, וְזַבְדִּי.
veyakim vezikhri, vedzardi.
And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi;
20.
וֶאֱלִיעֵינַי וְצִלְּתַי, וֶאֱלִיאֵל.
ve'eli'enay vetsiltay, ve'eli'el.
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel;
21.
וַעֲדָיָה וּבְרָאיָה וְשִׁמְרָת, בְּנֵי שִׁמְעִי.
va'adayah uverayah veshimrat, benei shim'i.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, were the sons of Shimei.
22.
וְיִשְׁפָּן וָעֵבֶר, וֶאֱלִיאֵל.
veyishpan va'ever, ve'eliel.
And Ishpan, and Ebed, and Eliel;
23.
וְעַבְדּוֹן וְזִכְרִי, וְחָנָן.
ve'avdon vezikhri, vehanan.
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan;
24.
וַחֲנַנְיָה וְעֵילָם, וְעַנְתֹתִיָּה.
vahananyah ve'eilam, ve'antotiyah.
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothiah;
25.
וְיִפְדְיָה ופניאל וּפְנוּאֵל, בְּנֵי שָׁשָׁק.
ve'ifdeyah ufni'el ufnu'el, benei shashak.
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, were the sons of Shashak.
26.
וְשַׁמְשְׁרַי וּשְׁחַרְיָה, וַעֲתַלְיָה.
veshamsheray ushachryah, va'atalyah.
And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah;
27.
וְיַעֲרֶשְׁיָה וְאֵלִיָּה וְזִכְרִי, בְּנֵי יְרֹחָם.
veya'areshyah ve'eliyah vezikhri, benei yerokham.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, were the sons of Jeroham.
28.
אֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת לְתֹלְדוֹתָם, רָאשִׁים; אֵלֶּה, יָשְׁבוּ בִירוּשָׁלִָם.
elleh rashei avot letoldotam, roshim; elleh, yashvu virushalayim.
These were heads of fathers' houses throughout their generations, chief men; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
29.
וּבְגִבְעוֹן יָשְׁבוּ, אֲבִי גִבְעוֹן; וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתּוֹ, מַעֲכָה.
uvegiv'on yashvu, avi giv'on; veshem ishto, ma'akhah.
And in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, [Jeiel,] whose wife's name was Maacah;
30.
וּבְנוֹ הַבְּכוֹר, עַבְדּוֹן; וְצוּר וְקִישׁ, וּבַעַל וְנָדָב.
uveno habekhor, avdon; vetsur vekish, uva'al venadav.
and his first-born son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab;
31.
וּגְדוֹר וְאַחְיוֹ, וָזָכֶר.
u'gedor ve'akhyo, vazakher.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32.
וּמִקְלוֹת, הוֹלִיד אֶת-שִׁמְאָה; וְאַף-הֵמָּה, נֶגֶד אֲחֵיהֶם יָשְׁבוּ בִירוּשָׁלִַם--עִם-אֲחֵיהֶם.
umiklot, holid et-shim'ah; ve'af-hemmah, neged akhihem yashvu virushalayim--im-akhihem.
And Mikloth begot Shimeah. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
33.
וְנֵר הוֹלִיד אֶת-קִישׁ, וְקִישׁ הוֹלִיד אֶת-שָׁאוּל; וְשָׁאוּל, הוֹלִיד אֶת-יְהוֹנָתָן וְאֶת-מַלְכִּישׁוּעַ, וְאֶת-אֲבִינָדָב, וְאֶת-אֶשְׁבָּעַל.
ve'ner holid et-kish, ve'kish holid et-sha'ul; ve'sha'ul, holid et-yehonatan ve'et-malkishu'a, ve'et-avinadav, ve'et-eshba'al.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34.
וּבֶן-יְהוֹנָתָן, מְרִיב בָּעַל; וּמְרִיב בַּעַל, הוֹלִיד אֶת-מִיכָה.
uven-yehonatan, meriv ba'al; umeriv ba'al, holid et-mikha.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begot Micah.
35.
וּבְנֵי, מִיכָה--פִּיתוֹן וָמֶלֶךְ, וְתַאְרֵעַ וְאָחָז.
uvene, mikha--piton vamelekh, veta're'a ve'akhaz.
And the sons of Micah; Pithon, and Melech, and Taarea, and Ahaz.
36.
וְאָחָז, הוֹלִיד אֶת-יְהוֹעַדָּה, וִיהוֹעַדָּה הוֹלִיד אֶת-עָלֶמֶת וְאֶת-עַזְמָוֶת, וְאֶת-זִמְרִי; וְזִמְרִי, הוֹלִיד אֶת-מוֹצָא.
ve'akhaz, holid et-yeho'adah, viyeho'adah holid et-'alemet ve'et-'azmavet, ve'et-zimri; vezimri, holid et-motza.
And Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
37.
וּמוֹצָא, הוֹלִיד אֶת-בִּנְעָא; רָפָה בְנוֹ אֶלְעָשָׂה בְנוֹ, אָצֵל בְּנוֹ.
u'motza, holid et-bin'a; rafah veno el'asah veno, atzel beno.
and Moza begot Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
38.
וּלְאָצֵל, שִׁשָּׁה בָנִים--וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹתָם עַזְרִיקָם בֹּכְרוּ וְיִשְׁמָעֵאל וּשְׁעַרְיָה, וְעֹבַדְיָה וְחָנָן; כָּל-אֵלֶּה, בְּנֵי אָצַל.
ul'atzel, shishah vanim--ve'elleh shemotam azrikam bokheru veYishma'el ush'aryah, ve'Ovadyah vechanan; kol-elleh, b'nei atzel.
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39.
וּבְנֵי, עֵשֶׁק אָחִיו: אוּלָם בְּכֹרוֹ--יְעוּשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי, וֶאֱלִיפֶלֶט הַשְּׁלִשִׁי.
uv'nei, eshek akhio: ulam b'khoro--y'ush hasheni, ve'Elifelet hashelishi.
And the sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40.
וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי-אוּלָם אֲנָשִׁים גִּבּוֹרֵי-חַיִל דֹּרְכֵי קֶשֶׁת, וּמַרְבִּים בָּנִים וּבְנֵי בָנִים--מֵאָה, וַחֲמִשִּׁים; כָּל-אֵלֶּה, מִבְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן.
vayyihyu b'nei-ulam anashim gibore-khayil dorkei keshet, umarbim banim uv'nei banim--me'ah, vakhamishim; kol-elleh, mib'nei Binyamin.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers; and had many sons, and sons' sons, a hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
