וַיַּבְדֵּל דָּוִיד וְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא לַעֲבֹדָה, לִבְנֵי אָסָף וְהֵימָן וִידוּתוּן, הנביאים הַנִּבְּאִים בְּכִנֹּרוֹת בִּנְבָלִים, וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם; וַיְהִי, מִסְפָּרָם, אַנְשֵׁי מְלָאכָה, לַעֲבֹדָתָם.

vayavdel David vesarei hatzava la'avoda, livnei Asaf veHeyman viYdutun, haNevi'im haNִv'im bekinnorot binvalim, uvimtziltayim; vayhi, misparam, anshei melakha, la'avodatam.

Moreover David and the captains of the host separated for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of them that did the work according to their service was:

לִבְנֵי אָסָף, זַכּוּר וְיוֹסֵף וּנְתַנְיָה וַאֲשַׂרְאֵלָה--בְּנֵי אָסָף: עַל, יַד-אָסָף, הַנִּבָּא, עַל-יְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ.

livnei Asaf, zakkur veYosef uNetanyahu va'Asar'ela--bnei Asaf: al, yad-Asaf, haNiba, al-yedei haMelekh.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph; under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied according to the direction of the king.

לִידוּתוּן--בְּנֵי יְדוּתוּן גְּדַלְיָהוּ וּצְרִי וִישַׁעְיָהוּ חֲשַׁבְיָהוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ שִׁשָּׁה, עַל יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם יְדוּתוּן בַּכִּנּוֹר, הַנִּבָּא, עַל-הֹדוֹת וְהַלֵּל לַיהוָה.

liYdutun--bnei Ydutun Gedalyahu uTzeri viSha'yahu Chashavyahu uMattityahu shisha, al yedei avihem Ydutun baKinnor, haNiba, al-hodot vehaLlel laYHWH.

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six; under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD.

לְהֵימָן--בְּנֵי הֵימָן בֻּקִּיָּהוּ מַתַּנְיָהוּ עֻזִּיאֵל שְׁבוּאֵל וִירִימוֹת חֲנַנְיָה חֲנָנִי, אֱלִיאָתָה גִדַּלְתִּי וְרֹמַמְתִּי עֶזֶר, יָשְׁבְּקָשָׁה מַלּוֹתִי, הוֹתִיר מַחֲזִיאֹת.

leHeyman--bnei Heyman buqiyahu Mattanyahu uzi'el Shevu'el virimot Chananya Chanani, Eli'ata Gidalti veRomamti Ezer, Yashveqasha Malloti, Hotir Machazi'ot.

Of Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

כָּל-אֵלֶּה בָנִים לְהֵימָן, חֹזֵה הַמֶּלֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵי הָאֱלֹהִים--לְהָרִים קָרֶן; וַיִּתֵּן הָאֱלֹהִים לְהֵימָן, בָּנִים אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר--וּבָנוֹת שָׁלוֹשׁ.

kol-elleh banim leheyman, khozeh hamelekh bedivrei haelohim--leharim qaren; vayyitten haelohim leheyman, banim arba'ah asar--uvanot shalosh.

all these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the things pertaining to God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

כָּל-אֵלֶּה עַל-יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם בַּשִּׁיר בֵּית יְהוָה, בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם נְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרוֹת, לַעֲבֹדַת, בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים--עַל יְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ, אָסָף וִידוּתוּן וְהֵימָן.

kol-elleh al-yedei avihem bashshir beit YHWH, bimtsiltayim nevalim vekhinorot, la'avodat, beit haelohim--al yedei hamelekh, asaf vidutun veheyman.

All these were under the hands of their fathers for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the direction of the king--Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

וַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם עִם-אֲחֵיהֶם, מְלֻמְּדֵי-שִׁיר לַיהוָה: כָּל-הַמֵּבִין--מָאתַיִם, שְׁמוֹנִים וּשְׁמוֹנָה.

vayhi misparam im-akheihem, melumdei-shir laYHWH: kol-hamevin--matayim, shmonim ushmonah.

And the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in singing unto the LORD, even all that were skilful, was two hundred fourscore and eight.

וַיַּפִּילוּ גּוֹרָלוֹת מִשְׁמֶרֶת, לְעֻמַּת כַּקָּטֹן כַּגָּדוֹל--מֵבִין, עִם-תַּלְמִיד.

vayyappilu goralot mishmeret, le'umat kaqqaton kaggadol--mevin, im-talmid.

And they cast lots ward against [ward], as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

וַיֵּצֵא הַגּוֹרָל הָרִאשׁוֹן, לְאָסָף--לְיוֹסֵף; גְּדַלְיָהוּ, הַשֵּׁנִי--הוּא-וְאֶחָיו וּבָנָיו, שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

vayetze hagoral harishon, le'asaf--leyosef; gedalyahu, hasheni--hu-ve'echav uvanav, shne'im asar.

Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah; he and his brethren and sons were twelve;

10.

הַשְּׁלִשִׁי זַכּוּר, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hashlishi zakkur, banav ve'echav shne'im asar.

The third to Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

11.

הָרְבִיעִי, לַיִּצְרִי--בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו, שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

harevi'i, layitzri--banav ve'echav, shne'im asar.

The fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

12.

הַחֲמִישִׁי נְתַנְיָהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hachamishi netanyahu, banav ve'echav shne'im asar.

The fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

13.

הַשִּׁשִּׁי בֻקִּיָּהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hashishshi buqiyahu, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

14.

הַשְּׁבִעִי יְשַׂרְאֵלָה, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hashevi'i yesar'elah, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The seventh to Jesarelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

15.

הַשְּׁמִינִי יְשַׁעְיָהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hashemini yesha'yahu, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

16.

הַתְּשִׁיעִי מַתַּנְיָהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hatteshi'i mattanyahu, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

17.

הָעֲשִׂירִי שִׁמְעִי, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

ha'asiri Shim'i, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

18.

עַשְׁתֵּי- עָשָׂר עֲזַרְאֵל, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

ashtei- asar Azar'el, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

19.

הַשְּׁנֵים עָשָׂר לַחֲשַׁבְיָה, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

hashneim asar lachashavyah, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

The twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

20.

לִשְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר שׁוּבָאֵל, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

lishloshah asar Shuva'el, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

21.

לְאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר מַתִּתְיָהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

le'arba'ah asar Mattityahu, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

22.

לַחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר לִירֵמוֹת, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

lachamishah asar liremot, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

23.

לְשִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר לַחֲנַנְיָהוּ, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

leshishah asar lachananyahu, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

24.

לְשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר לְיָשְׁבְּקָשָׁה, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

leshiv'ah asar leyashbekashah, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

25.

לִשְׁמוֹנָה עָשָׂר לַחֲנָנִי, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

lishmonah asar lakhanani, banav ve'ekhav shenem asar.

For the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

26.

לְתִשְׁעָה עָשָׂר לְמַלּוֹתִי, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

letisha asar lemaloti, banav ve'ekhav shenem asar.

For the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

27.

לְעֶשְׂרִים, לֶאֱלִיָּתָה--בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו, שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

le'esrim, le'eliyatah--banav ve'ekhav, shenem asar.

For the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

28.

לְאֶחָד וְעֶשְׂרִים לְהוֹתִיר, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

le'echad ve'esrim lehotir, banav ve'ekhav shenem asar.

For the one and twentieth to Hothir, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

29.

לִשְׁנַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים לְגִדַּלְתִּי, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

lishnayim ve'esrim legidalti, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the two and twentieth to Giddalti, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

30.

לִשְׁלֹשָׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְמַחֲזִיאוֹת, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

lishloshah ve'esrim lemakhaziot, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the three and twentieth to Mahazioth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

31.

לְאַרְבָּעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְרוֹמַמְתִּי עָזֶר, בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.

le'arba'ah ve'esrim leromamti azer, banav ve'echav shneim asar.

For the four and twentieth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
